I can not cope with this season.
In the past I always managed to "bounce back" when I was depressed, but lately it seems that I've lost that ability. I just can't get out of this depression hole, I'm over tired and I'm also having severe menapousal symptoms. And now this Christmas season as well!!!
These past few days I've been feeling sick, although there is nothing physically wrong with me. This afternoon, while I was in the store shopping, I felt weak and shaky, and then I had these bright light flashes infront of my eyes, making it very difficult to see properly. Specialist says it has something to do with these migrains that I get. I ended my shopping right there, paid for the stuff in my trolley, and slowly drove home. My older daughter, Melany, was at home with Colleen. When I got home, I went to sleep for an hour. Melany made supper, and stayed with me until I felt better.
I can't afford to be like this!!! I just wish that this season was over!!!

I\'m so sorry that you are not feeling well. I am starting to hate the season too...there\'s not too much about it that\'s ever really \"merry\" I am very glad Melany was there to help you today. Menopause sucks! I think we should have a button that we can just push when we are done having kids! lol...
I wish I had some answers to give you but I swim around in depression much of the time too... journaling was helping me but it takes too much time! lol... I have tried blogging it helps some.
I think one thing that is frustrating is that when other (non-cargiving) people get depressed there are things to do - get out, sleep, go see a movie... and those things just do not work for us...knowing we do not have those options can depress us even more. Praying you get some answers and some real ways to get out from under the dark cloud!
(((hugs)))
Depression is always difficult to deal with and unfortunately, it seems that during the holidays, depressions can get even worse than usual. I don\'t know if you are taking any meds to help fight the depression, but if not, I\'d recommend you see a doctor for assistance. Being a good caregiver is difficult enough without needing to deal with serious personal depression too. If you are on some meds, then let your doctor know your depression is increasing.
I hope that Melany can continue to give you some respite time once in awhile so that you can get a much needed break.
As always, you are in my prayers.
Hugs, Dan
