I can breathe!!
Got a very quick " Im ok, I love and miss you" call from Jay this morning. :) I can BREATHE again. We didnt get to talk long, but the 2minutes to hear his voice and know that he is safe and well was enough for me. Thank God!!! 1/32 is getting hit really hard :( It saddens me to no end.... I cherish every second I get to talk to him, Im grateful for that. Hopefully I only have a few more weeks to go until I get to see him again. He should be coming home on R & R mid September. He was slotted to go at that timeframe before he deployed, I just hope they dont decide they need him to stay then with all of the events as they sometimes deny guys leave depending upon what is happening.
Anyways...
Low key weekend. I do feel as if I were dropped of by the mother ship in another time zone yesterday. LOL I chopped wood all afternoon and then baked pies. Hahaha Its a good thing I can swing an ax like nobody's business :) The wood for my friend Johns sweat lodge. he has a deal with a local boyscout camp. We can chop and take all of the wood we can,and in return stack wood for them. a pretty good deal :) My arms are sore today, buts its all good. I needed it.
Off to work...we shall see what the day brings....

I used to be able to swing an axe with the best of \'em - but that is nothing more than a historical fact at this point in time, lol. My home in Vancouver WA was heated solely with wood - ah, the good ol\' days..... LOL! It was a LOT of work, even when I was young & strong!
Glad you got a quick call from Jay. Although I don\'t have family or loved ones in AFG, I do have clients over there, and have another one going off on deployment end of the month. I really respect the work our military does (maybe not all of the decisions of the high command, but that\'s different) and I think I have at least a glimpse once in awhile of what it is like for the loved ones who wait for soldiers to come home.
