I asked my son this question
I asked my son this question: Do you have any good memories of growing up and the answer I got was I don't remember anything. That was a clue something was askew in the thinking process of this boy or an inability or willingness to say anything positive. I was there too and he is not brain damaged so I have to believe he just did not want to remember. Too bad. He punishes both of us. For what end would he withhold sharing a positive memory. I do not know. But, it sure as hell smells fishy that you have a complete blank. I just wanted to share that. At the time I did not understand his response and I still don't but that perhaps it was intentional to use as just another excuse to close the door on a relationship with the parent who raised him and loved him in his one and only childhood. Thank you all for listening to me having an original idea to begin this post. I am growing to like you all.
