I am such a sucker

I reached out to an acquantance(sp?) a few months ago because she was going through a divorce. I am helping her go through it because I wished someone reached out to me. I know I needed support and I know she needs one. She is getting through the angry and depressed stage. I have talked her down many times. She would call me at work and we would talk for awhile. I would listen and I would give her some advice. She has said many times, how glad she is that I am there for her.
Now, that she is better, I feel like I am an after thought. I thought I have made a friend. We used to get together on a weekly basis and hangout and talk. We haven't done that in a couple of weeks. She would make plans with her other friends and tell me after the fact. She would never ask me to join her. We used to text all the time and now, we only text when I initiate.
I did my job, so I guess I am no longer needed. I definitely feel rejected. I don't know why this one hurts. I thought I would never feel this way after the love of my life rejected me. I thought I have gone through the worst and any other rejection wouldn't sting.
I feel like it is another break up. I have to go no contact and just move on.

I think she is tryint to regroup. You should tell her how you feel.

I guess, I am more into this friendship than she is.

I don\'t know if this is common or not, but I have found that since my separation and now divorce I have lost several friendships. These were not related to my relationship with stbxw. It seems there is a cleansing of those people and I was very attached to most all of them. Maybe you don\'t need her in your life anymore? Sometimes it seems like rejection but it is for our own good, if that makes any sense.

She probably thought you were just trying to help her and need nothing else. You are worried for nothing. Just tell her how you feel. You would be surprised that she still wants you as her friend. You won\'t know unless you talk with her.
