I Am Stuck and Off-Track

I can't stop eating all fattening delicious food.  Food, food, food is all I can think of lately.  I am afraid of weighing myself.  I have gained weight.  I feel it in my clothes they are so tight.  I cannot go for the full-by-pass surgery.  Too many complications.  I have discussed it with the doctors and I am so scared.  I did the band in the early 1980's and gained all my weight back.  So whats to say I will keep it off now?  I want an easier and softer way.  I want a magic pill.  I want to eat and be thin too.  I want to be healthy!  Oh I am so depressed.  I miss my baby doll, Yoda Mae.  I had a nice weekend with my friends and cousin we went out to dinner.  Music and a comedian.  We had fun.  Al came in and I sent him home with a goody-bag of  lasagna and bread pudding.  My cuz and I saw the new Richard Gere movie, it was awful.  it was nice to be with all my friends and loved ones.  I am so lucky and have so much to be grateful for.  But I want to be able to do so much and this weight and binging is stopping me dead in my tracks.  OH WELL.  Tomorrow is another day.

Oh Re, I am so sorry you are so down on yourself. I go into binges too, but usually come out of them. It has been very hard for me because the last 5 weeks I have had to stay off my foot and I am still consuming lots of calories too. Seems being home I want to cook and you know the drill. All I can to is do the best you can. Take it one day at a time. If you falter today, the best news is that you can start new tomorrow as it will be the first day of the rest of your life. I know how your heart must ache for your baby, I still miss Sammy, although have to admit it does get easier with the passage of time. love you, marcia

I am like Sandy. I love everything about food! Cooking it, eating it, reading and inventing recipes, eating out6, eating in, you name it!! I had one of those, eat everything in sight days, yesterday. Today I am back on track, counting those weight watcher points. You are just depressed and missing Yoda Mae. You will snap out of it, sooner or later. I am sending love, understanding and (((HUGS)))...Mz Red

I hear you.I love to eat too.
First and this is just my opinion, you have had a loss of a loved one (yoda-mae)and your still grieving. That takes time to move on from.Enjoy your food and your time with you friends.I know you will with time, when its time, will get back on track with your weight watchers eating plan.practicing acceptence of all and for who you are helps i think but its tough.your a beatiful, loving, strong, fun and joy filled woman.take it day by day.maybe once a day eat a healthy meal.do good stuff for yourself.and let yourself enjoy foods and life. You will get back on track.(just my opinion).I think your beautiful just as you are Reenee.but i understand how you feel,i struggle with the same feelings. But i am working on it. We are all Beautiful and Spiritual Beings.Hugs

I feel for your loss... When you hurt I know how easy it is to eat all you see... I do this often, but I came across one thing that helped. I set myself up at the beggining of the day with healthy small meals and then added two snacks small of my little treats. It takes longer to lose the weight but I feel less starved and less like I am in food HELL. Every diet I have ever tried didn\'t work for me I put it right back on. The only one that worked but it takes a lot lot lot of work was the original Atkins Diet. i know everyone snickers about it but it really worked for me and the guy i was seeing at the time. it can be expensive too but..... Huggings and concentrating good help thoughts to you...

I\'m so sorry for your loss. I\'m happy that you had fun with friends and family.
Now: Get out the books, the journal, pick up the phone and work the program. It\'s tough - but you are tough. Surrender. Say the Serenity Prayer.
I know you know this already. Be GENTLE with yourself. I learned something this weekend at my OA meeting. Someone shared: Hunger is not a feeling/emotion.
For me when I overeat it\'s because something else is really bothering me and I MUST call upon HP/God to help me. Take care. All my love and prayers as you go through this difficult period.

Look, we all go thru this, so do not worry and do not put yourself down or feel badly.....
It\'s tough, and I have done it before, though slipping back into the SUGAR thing is easy...
take baby steps...
Drink Ice water.....not bottled water, but ice cubed water....start off slowly, but start with that.....no tea, but real water.
Bottled water is nastier than tap water, and you can get filter stuff to help..
You email me if you want to know more..
Don\'t feel badly, dah-ling.....you lost your companion of many years and you there are home alone, sort of speak, so what you are going thru is normal and nothing to beat yourself up about, you hear me???.....lol!!

Maybe you can get your \'Southern Fix\' sometimes by comeing to see me......lol!! that would be so fun...

Anyway, don\'t beat yourself up......no one is perfect, and you can overcome this....
Love ya,
Linda....

It all starts with the shopping. If you dont want to end up eating it, dont buy it. Keeping cookies and snacks and things to make those things out of the house seems to work. I drink distilled water, it tastes good, I see someone above said bottled water tastes nasty but try the distilled. Did you just lose your dog, I am sorry, we have a lot of dogs, we find keeping more than one around softens the blow when one passes away. I know they are all different but having another dog there who you know and who sees you are hurting really helps.

You just have so much going on - I believe you will
get back on track. There are many times, I eat and don\'t even like what I eat - all emotional, not hungry. Open up your arms and receive this hug...that is why God made arms. Linda from Mississippi
