I am SO tired (again lol)

I love how just writing my journal here gets me started!  The sun is still shining, rains are now nights only, and my SAD symptoms are pretty much gone!   On Friday, I finally called one of the contact people regarding a building that might work for the dog business, right after I signed off here last time.   As I looked up the number, the words "DO IT" just like those "TRUST ME" words/thoughts, pushed me through my procrastination.   But, alas, she's out of town until Monday, so I have to wait, but I've STARTED!   Sometimes I just drive myself crazy just to get STARTED.   I'm really looking forward to seeing if this building will work.   But if not, I'm going to call the three other places by the end of the week and see if they too would work and get this ball GOING...
This little delay should give me enough time to work out my final plans this weekend, but I'm just too tired.   All I have left to do now is decide HOURS.   Keep it simple, like 8 to 5 or 10 to 6 and only have 1 part time employee? And should I close weekends?  Or in the middle of the week instead?  Or should I go all out 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week and spend lots more money on lots more staff?   Toughest decision to make yet!
And why am I this tired?  Well, you see, I went mountain biking.   Yesterday I got up at 4 am, babysat from 5 until 2:30 (and hauled my granddaughter to the park using the bike and a cart), then took the dogs mountain biking after she left, did laundry, cooked foods for the week, was asleep SOUNDLY by 10 pm, up again at 4:30 this morning (woke up before even the dogs), went out mountain biking again from 6:45 until 8am.... and it wasn't easy!  But I've FINALLY started my singletrack training!
I was so scared this morning... wondering if it was too early... wondering if mountain lions were still out roaming... someone told me they hunt from trees too - luckily our pines are pretty weak, lol - and even the African lions over at the wildlife sanctuary weren't up yet.   More of that procrastinating!   But it turned out to be AWESOME!   First, because I left my dogs at home this time (they drove me crazy yesterday - kept wanting to stop to hunt squirrels and deer, and eat or roll in dead things - EWWW), second because the singletrack was smooth and fast!   I'm still slow.... checkpoints in my head:  Top of Hill Street - Best time 21 minutes, today 25.... starting the singletrack - best time 30 minutes, today 32.... gravel pit - best time 45 minutes, today 52.   Not bad for my first full ride out, but I've got work to do.   MAJOR progress though - CLIMBING.   Up and over EVERYTHING but the nastiest stuff that isn't safe to climb.... switchbacks and hills that were loose and steep.  I LOVE IT WHEN I DEFEAT MYSELF (my own insecurities)!   On one especially nasty climb, I was fighting with myself completely... one side of my brain was saying to jump off now and walk before it's too late and you fall, the stronger side was saying.... PUSH IT, PUSH IT, KEEP TRYING, A LITTLE MORE, LEAN IN, PUSH IT, ALMOST THERE!   YES!!!!  And as I was grunting my way up, I was so worried/focused on staying forward and not flipping backward that I was completely oblivious to anything but the effort, scaring myself even further, pushing myself even harder... and as I glanced up to see if I was cresting it yet, I saw someone was standing to the side at the top.   Surprised, I said "Ooops, sorry" in between gasps for air, lol, and all she said was "AWESOME JOB!" as I made it over the top WITHOUT stopping!  Yep, in that moment I was so PROUD of TRYING....
The tiredness kicked in at 1 hour, 13 minutes at a rocky point that I knew would take a lot of effort to go on and I just didn't have it in me today... not to mention no bug or sunscreen spray (coffee hadn't kicked in yet and I forgot).  So I "played" as I headed back, took my time on the downhills, took my time focusing on the switchbacks and the best way stay on the bike as I leaned into the turns (because this bike is shorter than my hard tail), and before I knew it, I was done - that 1 hour 13 minute ride out was done back in 20 minutes.  WOW.   And just as I was coming up the 2nd to last hill, I heard a dog yelp.   It sounded like it was RIGHT THERE.   I slammed on my brakes, listened.... and nothing.   So I called for it.... nothing.  So I looked back along the trail.... nothing.   Was I imagining it?   Was I just too tired?   Minutes later as I left the singletrack, I heard it again... it was a coyote from the wildlife sanctuary - the sound had just echoed perfectly around that spot, and it's coyote call sounded just like a puppy yelp.   WHEW.  1,663 calories burned...
After cleaning up and running the dogs to the dog park for 20 minutes, I then watched my granddaughter again.... and walked her to the park in the stroller because I foolishly thought it would be easier (it wasn't, lol), and then had to chase her around the playground equipment because there were other 2 year olds there and she was so THRILLED to have someone her age to play with - though we really need to work on SHARING - and the new equipment is specifically based just for their age, with enclosed tunnel slides, swings, climbing walls..... she had a ball.... and I burned an extra 613 in calories, lol.  Then another uphill walk back home.... Did I say I was tired?
I'm too tired to even cook tonite.   So I'm going to cheat - make a quick chocolate shake, watch some Super Soul Sunday recordings and get to bed early.   Because I've got some lawn mowing to do in the morning with my manual mower, before work, and before building hunting.  And I've still got another month to figure out those hours.... LIFE IS GOOD.   Sweet Dreams everyone!   LATER!
