I am reaching out for support

I just got back from an outing with my brother and my Mom. They are worried about me and I appreciate their company.
I lost my wife Susie to a heart attack on November 27 and just finished the funeral.  I don't feel much right now, and I'm wondering about this.  I know I will miss her very much, but right now it doesn't seem real. I've been with my wife so long I'm worried about the lonely transition.   I want to hear from others who have walked this path.

First off I want to say I am truly sorry for your loss. You may want to post your intro as a post under new topics so others will know you are on the board. Journal entries can easily get missed. You have truly found a incredible place to heal. We have all walked the difficult road you are on now. The members here are very supportive and come from all walks of life. There are 3 Community leaders Sharon, Martha, and Marsha who all bring incredible insight and support to members here. I have been here almost 2 years and they helped me through my darkest times. We all \'get it\" here. Please post and come here often. It is truly a place of healing. I am truly sorry you have to travel such a painful path. Gerry

I am so very sorry for your loss. It\'s so early for you, your pain is very raw, and you\'re still shocked. I can understand why you feel numb.
My husband passed away 5 months ago. We were married for 34 years. I feel lost, very sad and alone. This journey is awful.
But please know you are not alone, we understand, and we\'re here for you.
This forum has been very helpful and comforting to me.
I\'m praying that you have the strength to get through this grief.
Hugs,
Janie
