Hypothyroidism? or what?

I have most of these symptoms and am wondering if all that I am dealing with is a result of Hypothyroidism. I guess I need to call my Doc and ask her to test me. Also wondering if anyone else has been tested or had this?
What is hypothyroidism?
Hypothyroidism is a condition characterized by abnormally low thyroid hormone production. There are many disorders that result in hypothyroidism. These disorders may directly or indirectly involve the thyroid gland. Because thyroid hormone affects growth, development, and many cellular processes, inadequate thyroid hormone has widespread consequences for the body.

Heat and/or cold intolerance

Hiya, i\'ve had Hypothyroidism since i was 3yrs old. I am taking 100mg of Thyroxine every day, but even taking those i still tire very quickly, go through bouts of depression and insecurity. My skin becomes dry in the winter, i can only shower every other day in the winter else i\'ll itch like mad even with creams. I suffer constipation regular, migraines and sinus trouble. I think my poor memory is down to taking depressants. I\'m on 10mg, and yes loss of eye brow hair is defo a sign, i still lose them if i forget to take my tabs for a couple of days. Think you need to request a blood test, hope it\'s not but if you have developed it theres no need to worry you\'ll get the right meds i\'m sure, then you\'l be fine. Big hugs XX

i\'ve had it for about 15 years. i haven\'t gone too deep into researching it - pretty much i just take my daily pill. it\'s true, the effects are quite wide-ranging. i was diagnosed because of weight gain, sudden depression and super dry skin. i probably need to get my levels tested again b/c i\'m having other symptoms too. all my health plans have tended to test 1x a year unless you are exhibiting symptoms that aren\'t normal for you. if you have any particular questions you can message me any time. : )

Thank you Flight **HUGS** The last time I went to my docs she kinda felt my thyroid and said it was a little bit big and I think she forgot to set up a test for me. That was a few months ago, even I forgot. But I woke up this morning with the word in my head and looked it up. So now I\'m really curios.

Thank you KJ **HUGS** In the past few months I\'ve started getting bad joint pain and muscle pain without reason, new to me. I\'ve also have lots of headaches, blurred vision, popping in my ears, sinus problems, intolerance to cold, etc for a few years

Divine, When I was about 5 my mom had a time when she was in pain all the time and really depressed. It got so bad that she could barely get out of bed. She went to the doctor and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and she has had to be be on medication ever since that time. She had the same symptoms as you. I would definently look into that possibility. I will keep you in my prayers.
