Hyperthyroid

I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid in June. I am writing this #1, in hopes it will help other people going through the same thing and #2 because Im hoping by writing this all down that I will help myself to get through this.

Im not sure how long I have had hyperthyroid, when I think back to how long Ive been sick, Im guessing maybe 3 years with a slow progression of getting worse. It started with digestion problems, diarreah all the time. I blamed food because I had my gallbladder removed 6 years ago. So I was just more careful and paid attension to what I ate. Over the next few years things worsened and I diagnosed myself lactose intolerant and quit dairy all together, started metamucil on a daily basis. I would say it helped a little but not much. I added a daily probiotic drink and quit the metamucil seeing how it wasnt helping. Things worsened again, in November of 2015 I went to see my gastro doc (because of the diarreah and hemmroids) so that just lead me to schedule my first colonoscopy, yippee. That came back normal and he said I have internal hemmriods and the follow up in 6 weeks and we'll talk about removing them in office. I didnt go back because they seemed to get better. Then by Feb, they came back, diarreah never stopped and I was going out of my mind trying to figure out what was wrong with me. By May symptoms worsened, I began to notice changes in my sight, dry hair, my fingernails had ridges in them, dry skin, my heart palpations were worse. (Those started a year ago, I thought it was just stress) anxiety, moody, constipation, peeing alot, appetite!! wow !!! I could not stop eating, I used to tell my son that my full button is broke. Then I had to stop drinking coffee/caffeine,it made me feel like I was going crazy, like a high, made me nauseas, my period lasting 7 days, I can feel myself ovulate, my voice started going hoarse and I stopped sleeping. I went to see an allergy doctor thinking maybe I had food allergies, tests came back a slight allergy to tomatoes and potatoes but not bad enough to give me digestive problems. After about 4 weeks of no sleep I finally went to a doctor, he ran a blood panel and there you have it, hyperthyroid. I was surprised, hypo runs in my family but not hyper. He put me on metoprolol for my heart, thank goodness. I denied it at first, Im 44 and on heart meds, couldnt accept that. But glad I did, palps went away and my anxiety when down. He sent me to get an ultrasound and uptake scan. I have 2 nodules, both on the right side, the upper one is 2.6 cm and the other 1.2. Went to see the endo doc 2 weeks later, was put on methimazole and that began to work after 6 weeks. Then I had my biopsy, came out negative for cancer....thank goodness. Two weeks ago on Sept 16th I had my radioactive iodine. It wasnt a bad as I thought. Im hoping Im through the worst of it. Had a sore throat for a week, thyroid feels like its bruised. They say it takes 1 month for the symtoms to go away after RAI, Im hoping so. Out of eveything Ive been trough, I gotta be honest, my hemmroids are the worst. Does anyone else have this problem ? Its like they are not healing, it goes from bad to worse. Im doing epsom salt baths, taking ibuprofen, taking metamucil. Bowels movements are regular. The pain is still unbearable. Im afraid to go to my gastro doc because what can he really do when Im in the middle of hyper treatment. Im thinking that once my TSH goes back to normal that my hemmroids will heal as well. Anyone ??
