Hypermobility
Hi, im new to this site so i just wanted to share my story.
I was told i had hypermobility at the age of 11 and since then i can honestly say i havent had much let up from pain, not only do i have hypermobility but i also have tennis elbow. All of my joints dislocate and they do it daily, i am on painkillers everyday and ive missed alot of college becuase of it. When my tennis elbow plays up, my elbow swells and bruises and i have to wear a night cast. i have night casts, slings, crutches, banadges and a wheehchair. ive been told that there is a big possibility that i will be in a wheelchair by the age of 22 which is really scary if im honest.
I have a (kinda) supportive family and boyfriend that helps me whenever they can but i still feel alone, my parents dont fully understand the pain i have got to through and its got to the point that sometimes my family thinks im faking the pain.
ive had many doctors tell me that due to my muscles being so weak that i have no chance of recovering, the only thing i can do is learn to mange the pain and take it easy. ive been tolf i cant have operations becuase it wont help, ive had excercises from the hospital but nothing is helping. the pain is really getting me down but i always show a smile, and try my best not to let my pain show.
its got to the point that i just feel there is no hope anymore
