Hyper Expression

It is possible that my journal has saved more wear and tear on my relationships than any other tool I have ever acquired. Every word I have written in my unmanageably large journal is a word I have not dribbled into someone's ear. The folks who have had to listen to more than their share understand the value of that. I started life with a severe speech defect and have been over-compensating ever since, in all available languages.
My "baby" dropped the bomb shell yesterday that he proposed marriage to his girlfriend. My "baby" is 28 and the proposal was not a great surprise. Still, it sure tickled my hyper bone and my reflective son never uses 20 words where one will do unless he is in the midst of a psychotic break. It is anybody's guess how long it will take him to utter the next sentence.
I don't care whose proposal it is. Let us make it all about ME! If God didn't want everything to be all about me, he wouldn't have made me hyper-expressive! Get talking! I have opinions to opine! You can't possibly find happiness before you've heard them all a dozen times.
Deep breaths. So far, so good. I think.
Perhaps this would be a good time to give my counting compulsion a little extra leash. I figure I should be using one word for every 10 of his words to keep my co-opting demon in check. Can I use my counting compulsion for just one thing? The odds are similar to an alcoholic taking just one drink...
Sigh.
I foresee allot of journaling and post responses in my near future. Extra instrument therapy, here I come.
