I am divorcing him. He's emotional abuse to me. Called me white trash. Etc.i have to a lawyer about this? That is grounds for divorce. The court and judge will probably sympathize with you. And it doesn't matter if house is in his name. If he's mentally abusive you could get everything. Keep your head up. Don't let him bring you down to his level. From a friend of mine

Unfortunately, I think few of are able to keep our partners because they have difficulty empathizing. My brother, who ADORED his wife, couldn't handle it when her cancer metastasized, eventually finding some lame excuse for divorcing her. My husband was in denial to an extent, but died accidentally before we ever reached a breaking point. Hugs !
