Hurts so bad!

Today, I've been crying way too long.  This divorce is killing me.  I had to file to cover my ass for finances because my wife is a liar and a thief.  I love her deeply and hate my life right now.  Motions are on a roller coaster and all I do is think about her throwing away 23yrs of our lives.  God it kills me!!!

I\'m sorry your put in this position my friend, but take heart, it really does get better. It shouldn\'t happen in the first place, but do you really want to waste more time with a woman who is a liar, a cheat and a thief? It sucks, but your doing well in dealing with it and protecting yourself.

It\'s OK to grieve for the loss - it\'s like a death, it really is. Much peace being sent your way. You\'ll get through this - you really will.

Divorce sucks and I\'m sorry you are in the depths of despair again. It is a rollercoaster that is NO FUN. But I promise you this -- with time, distance and minimal (if any) contact, your feelings will begin to change. Accepting the way things are is the first step -- from there, you will move on to indifference. I am holding you in my thoughts and prayers today. Just remember -- it\'s a process and you have to take it one day at a time -- sometimes one moment at a time. Be gentle with yourself.

If I re-read my journals/posts from January I\'m sure they say the same thing. It will get better-I did not believe it but it\'s true. You are definitely grieving the death of your marriage, and at times have to just cry it out.

Cubbies, I can tell you it will get better. As the others have said, you are grieving the loss of your marriage. I knew when my x left that our marriage wasn\'t great, but as time has gone by, I can see how seriously messed up it really was. I am now extremely happy to be out of it. Now I just have to keep working on the anger I feel when I think about Skank and Skanky riding around in Skank\'s new 1975 red Corvette while I\'m home paying bills, helping my kids and being responsible. The sadness has left, but I still have a lot of anger to deal with, and I know it will get better in time. We are all in our various stages of grief and recovery, and what you are going through is completely normal, and it is SO okay to cry.
Big Hugs,
Tracy

gocubby,
I see you are on the same ride as me. I am in the midst of trying to repair a bad marriage of 15 years. We have been together for 20 years. He finally, after all these years has agreed to counseling. Part of me thinks it really is not going to make much difference for what I have endured over the years with the domestic abuse and another part of me still loves him. So, I do know what you are going through. Hang in there my friend. Everyone seems to indicate that it gets better. I guess it will just take some time.
