hurt

I just asked him if he was in love with me and all he would say is he loves me. I knew this was coming but didnt want to see it so i blinded myself to the fact. He wants to call me a stupid ass bitch. Where does it end? I cant be the only one trying. He constantly wants to say I am getting high on pills an that is not the case. He has to use something for leverage to try and down grade me. I printed divorce papers just now and he is signing them. That shows mwe that he never really did love me and that he was never in love with me. I am lost and confused trying to figure out where I failed as a wife. But of course he wont talk to me about anything but will assume things all daqy long. Fucking confused. Why does he treat me this way when I was the only person that stood by him when he went 5to prison, drove over two hours one way to see him while he was in prison , put money on the phone for him to call, sent him letters, and scheduled video visits. I busted my ass for him to be able to have an address to parole out two mind you we met at the end of Janurary 2017 only seen eachother at the most 3 times in person and lived over an hour away from eachother then got married 02/21/17 then may 5 2017 he got locked up then december 1 2017 he was released from prison. He we are a year away from when he got to come home and now he said he is leaving friday. Not sure how to process any of this and to top it all off I have a 3 and 4 year old that call him daddy and loves him to pieces. So its not like he is just walking out on me but more so them. He is there everything. What am I suppose to do? Someone please help.

Just keep your kids’ wellbeing as your number one priority. No offense but this guy sounds like a total derelict. He will still be their father whether you stay with him or not, but you deserve to be happy. The happier you are, the better you can be for your kids. It has a rippling effect whichever choice you make.

I do not feel like I can be happy without him. My kids and him are my life.

How happy are you though?

Divorce is hard. 50% of all marriages end up in divorce. I have been through it and so has most people I know. After 24 years of marriage,,,, my wife found another man and had an affair. Then she asked for a divorce. About 6 months after we signed the papers, she wanted me back but I did not want to go back because I was beginning to enjoy being single. That was 5 years ago. It took a few months but I learned to let go of all the hate, and resentment. I forgave her and I forgave myself. Now, we are like best friends.

If you have parents or siblings you can talk to, they might offer some emotional support. Other then that, not sure how you should proceed but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

God Bless
