Hurricane
Yesterday I went to the gas station and noticed people where in a frenzy to get gas. Now, I don't watch tv but I found out today there's a hurricane coming to visit. You would think my roomie might have said something...I'm hoping I am not to late to get water, candles and gas. I need to brush up on my hurricance skills. Im going home tonight to put plant babies on covered porch.
We've had so much rain here that they are near drowning as it is. I beleive like years past, the storm will weaken back into a tropical storm. Ive ridden several hurricane's out before so I'm not too concerned with this one. Ill trade a tornado for a hurricane anyday.
Please say a prayer for those who may wind up in the path of it. They will surely bare the fury.

Prayers in progress that the storm passes uneventfully.
A saltwater allergy keeps me away from ocean shorelines, so I've never witnessed a hurricane, but I love the excitement of inland storms. I currently live in tornado alley and some day I'm gonna catch me one of them suckers. I worked out the last of my suicidal ideation by chasing tornadoes and they aren't as easy to catch as the talking heads (newscasters) would have you believe.
I saw my share of Tornados in Oklahoma. Theres nothing like a good storm. People get in a frenzy here. Luckily we are further inland and the only thing i worry a out is potential flooding because we sit low. Im finding im mors of a river person than a ocean person too.
I feel that saltwater allergy as a serious loss on witnessing the wonders of the ocean. I am grateful for Jacques Cousteau and his legacy of ocean cinematography which allows me to catch glimpses, but cinema cannae catch the majesty of the ocean, including hurricanes any better than it can catch the vastness of the Great Plains or the inland delta region in the heart of North America.
