Hunter

Happy Thursday!! It is a rainy, foggy cold day here in So Cal this morning - Today will be a catch up day on paperwork as kids are usually pretty good and stay in classrooms on days such as this - "they don't want to get wet".....

Yesterday was exhausting, emotional and of course, because of the stress I felt, I got a migraine about mid day and am still dealing with the after effects of that. So yesterday......Hunter was definitely covered with God's grace & mercy - his probation attorney and another attorney assigned to Hunter really presented Hunter's case well before the judge. The DA really pushed as well, and wanted Hunter to become a "delinquent of the court", suspending all benefits, etc that he has now.......anyway - the charges are serious, however the judge after looking at the past year progress reports and the weekly counseling, etc, that she decided to give Hunter 1 year probation which of course he will have to stick by those rules for 1 year. At the end of that year 12/19, he will go back to court, where his records will be sealed and basically a new start.....it's becuase he is a minor @ the time.

Yesterday I spent all day with Hunter - he said to me - "all those times my mom prayed for me, today, one of those prayers must have been pulled out of a bucket for me".......yep Hunter, God is here with you......

I'm exhausted today - didn't sleep well - grateful - praying Hunter gets it and is able to stay on task with probation - if probation is violated, he will go to jail for 3 years. He gets that! Praying as always for protection for Hunter and that he continue to make good choices.

Just wanted to update you with a heavy, but grateful heart. I have not told anyone @ work as they all can pretty judgemental and slowly but surely, my pedestal is getting whittled away........Thank you sisters for your support.

May we all have moments of peace this Holiday season. Vicki, Jennifer's mom

Vicki, I was thinking of you and wondering how yesterday unfolded. It feels as if Hunter was viewed fairly and yes, more than one of those prayers was pulled out for him.

Sometimes we need these consequences hovering over us to help us to begin making decisions that are in our favor. I hope and pray that Hunter does get it and can play out in his mind what I learned in Al-Anon about triggers, and the "If I do this, it will lead to this" kind of thinking rather than the reactive and acting out kind of behavior. I still have to observe this within myself when and if I feel the urge to "jump in" and to "fix" because I simply cannot and it always comes back to bite me in the backside. OY!

So sorry about the migraine and you take good care dearest Vicki as that took a pound of flesh indeed. So very grateful for the outcome for now and my prayers continue.

Loving care dear one and what a supportive and loving presence YOU are in Hunter's life. A constant!

Huge exhales and giving thanks!

Hi Vicki. I hope your migraine after effects are gone.
I feel for you - stress can kick us in the butt when we least need it.
I am so very glad that Hunter got a bit of a break. I do hope he is able to stay on the straight and narrow. It is so hard for young people with all the temptations. I know that you will be a great support for him. It breaks my heart that our grandkids don't have their moms in their corner.
Wishing you a stress free weekend.
Love and tight hugs, M

I'm thankful the judge allowed probation and prayerful that Hunter will truly realize both the seriousness and the grace of it. Praying too that he follow the rules to the T, as how well I know when one doesn't, jail IS a reality. Praying too for you dear friend and hope the after effects of the migraine don't linger too long.

Vicki, thank you for the update. I have been thinking about Hunter and the judgement sounds fair considering his age. We know his teen brain isn't even fully developed yet. That being said, I hope he grasps how well the judgment went and how seriously he must take the boundaries of his probation. I think its great he realized his mom's prayers for him made a difference.

You have been through a lot this week. It's no wonder you have a migraine. Just the angelversary alone is so much to deal with...

Sending you a gentle hugs and love to you and dearest Jennifer, Linda ♡
