Hummingbirds and Gardens

I had time today to watch all my hummingbirds at my feeders on my hummingbird porch and take a few veggies out of my 4 square foot gardens.  This is the only pleasure I have had all summer as I was to have a date last night with an old boyfriend but of course, he said I had my wires crossed.  Nope.  I was going to go alone but hit my face on the car door and just did not feel up to anything after that.  This is the last weekend of summer and it reminds me of my younger years before kids and the Hamptons.  Oh, those were the days!  I so long for a companion beyond my dog, someone nice who would give me lots of space but due to my agoraphobia, a person who would support my condition and help me with it.
I guess this is too much to ask for.  I only wish my kids were here to give me a hug but they hate me.  I am so hating the end of summer as I can not afford the heating bill even for one room in this large house and cannot move.  Trying so hard to keep my house and giving in all the papers for a refinance.  Pray I get it.
