Humira Induction Dose
AbbVie Care has asked me to keep a journal to monitor my progress and observations. Today I took 4 self injections with the 40ml pens. It was easy, mostly painless and I had just one tiny spot of blood at an injection site. So far so good.
The large lesion that I drained myself is still draining now from 4 different spots. Not much pain, but still swollen and red. I have numerous cysts from previous lesions and they get extremely itchy but no sign of inflamation or infection, I have another lesion by the fold at the groin/inner hip that drained 2 flare ups ago. It has slight drainage and swelling.
I use a topical clidamycin wash several times a day and I think it helps keep the area more sterile but not really having much affect on the swelling, There is little or no blood anymore in the drainage (when I opened it last week, it was mostly blood). The drainage is clearish/yellow and has no odour and is not a lot.
I'm cautiously optimistic. I've had my share of depression over the years because of hs and I feel pretty good now. I have some hope. I'm keeping this journal here in hopes that others can benefit from my experience.
