"Humans may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of satan" 24

"humans mayhave been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of its opposite number (Satan)." sooooo true. our entire society/capitalism is based on the seven deadly sins: in Latin as "superbia, avaritia, invidia, ira, luxuria, gula, pigritia seu acedia", with an English translation of
"pride (believing yourself better than other's to the point of having CONTEMPT for others), avarice (greed), envy(jealousy), wrath (rage), lust - lack of self-control, no boundaries(materialistic desire), gluttony (over-consumption to the point of waste and disregard of other living things), and sloth/acedia" (laziness).
Sloth/laziness (Latin, acedia)creates many vices. While sloth is sometimes defined as physical laziness, spiritual laziness is emphasized. If you fail to develop spiritually, you are guilty of sloth.
Being materialistic is the biggest sin or a core sin that creates all other crime, as does lying about others and greed.
Sloth has also been defined as a failure to do things that one should do. By this definition,
Evil exists when people fail to act. (true.)
"All it takes for evil to conquer is for good people to do nothing."

Each of the seven deadly sinsalso has an opposite among corresponding seven holy virtues. In parallel order to the sins they oppose, the seven holy virtues are: humility, charity, kindness, patience, chastity, temperance, and diligence." How many of these do you have in your everyday life?

had an almost 24 hour day yesterday, so kind of wiped out right now. went to rn's at 1 a.m. to pick up her animals to be fixed etc. then woke up at 7:30 a.m. to bring them in.the rest of the day is a blur. nice to have a day to be doing everything but exhausting. brought the animals to be fixed. looked for rn's kittens. picked up animal supplies. settled in a mom and babies. had brunch out with j. fried green tomatoes (which i love. t-bone steak and eggs and potato pancakes (still can't find a place that has really good ones).
stopped at rn's, had tea with her and dropped off supplies and give her back her carriers from the fixed animals.talked to m, who is leaving the pound in january. for some reason, people coming and going everywhere, bugs me nowadays, which is silly, i mostly do the same thing and i used to think employers were completely nuts if they thought a person would stay with their company for more than two years. nowadays i think its strange when people leave before three years. showing my age, really, change creates high blood pressure, and when young you can make lots of changes, when old its dangerous to, is my guess.talked to my doctor's officeand they are sending the forms for blood work, according to lili, they will keep drawing blood every couple of months, until my cholesterol goes down to what it should be.
rn has a new neighbor who is going to be a problem because she hates animals. (why move to an area where there is half acre zoning, which generally means people have pets, if you hate animals. move to an area that has an association instead or a townhome or something. grrrrr.) cleaned out things at the house by the woods to make it comfortable and looked up ceramic tile so the last of that work can get done. met a for lunch, just tuna subs and lemonade. excellent but they didn't have any cucumber, which makes the difference on subs.
went shopping FOR ME, and bought pants for work and a shirt. yay. and of course, books. wish i wouldn't but i enjoy it too much to not - its my vice. picked up books at rn's as well, she is always getting rid of things.her house is very spare and always immaculate. she says getting rid of most of your furniture is the only way with animals, you make a choice. true. i wish i would follow her lead and do the same. she doesn't even keep living room furniture anymore. just dining room and glass enclosed book cases and framed art etc., everything in there is washable. though the other solution is outdoors. i always feel animals do best outdoor/indoor anyway. or i did, until panther came by yesterday and is INJURED or ill, i haven't figured that out yet.grrrrr. he has a fever and i syringe fed him water, and nutrical on his gums, he is eating, but having trouble holding his balance. need to look it up.it also seemed like he hurt his neck, and that lunatic is still walking by our house every night... how do you know she didn't do something to him, he's very friendly....its creepy when you have bad humans, though i don't think she lives near us, just a creep walking up and down the main road at 1 and 4 a.m. every night. that is also creepy.
saw timmy and tye tye, at our former house from a long time ago. but i didn't see luigi, which is what e said when she went by there. e thinks luigi is older than timmy, i think he was around4when he started coming by nine years ago, so just a couple of years older than tim - i hope he'sokay. timmy will be 12 this december, tye tye is either 8 or 9 i don't remember anymore and would have to look it up. the area looks great. a lot of lawn. i think the doctor that had his practice around the block is running for office, so everything is picture perfect.that area is cool because a lot of the people who live there, have lived there since1950 or before that (or their families did), which is very old for florida. amazing.one of the women was outside who was BORN in that house and when the local school tried to buy her house from her, she was like, are you crazy? she had just moved back (like left for college, got married and divorced and is back living in the same house she was BORN in - she's back15 years now, and the neighborhood is all the same faces really, just older. lol.) you start watching everyone's hair turn gray and everyone's gait changes according to what health ailments they have. her live in guy was also still there. they were sitting out front. amazing, 15 years is longer than most marriages last, she says they are just friends though. quite a live in friendship.joan, who lives south of here, has the same thing, but misses her kids who live far from here - the interior of joan's house is cool and looks like a log cabin, even though the exterior is vynal sided.
finished up at thehouse by the woods, and left for the beach house to soak before heading to my office to do payroll. finished payroll around 3 a.m. and didn't get back to my own house to SLEEP until 5 a.m. what a DAY.you end up napping in the car here and there because you can't keep your eyes open.
the new mom is shy and hides. the babies are tiny. very sweet, just beginning to walk and not good at it. they fall over.i need to put in all new ceiling fans there and k doesn't want to, he thinks they are just off balance.i don't know how that works. rn called to say that byn got a job. yay. i hope it works out for him. he was at the other place for two years and didn't expect to be leaving. i think it still pisses him off and he's still wondering why he was terminated.
nothing else. we are getting a lot of rain. been trying to straighten out vacation times, but every time i get ready to book it, there is either something happening in my own life or at work. wth?

saw k tonight for dinner and he was robbed by alex. unreal. he said alex let himself in via the back door that was unlocked, he hopped the fence to come in and had his dog with him. he said he wanted to wash the dog and while he was in there went into k\'s desk and stole his cash from his bank envelope (he has done this before). $160 then he left. he should have called the police. that is two, the other was the guy down the road that requested $140 for a part that wasn\'t needed for his a/c. what a year. he has a receipt but no part. that would be small claims court. with alex, k says the boy either belongs in Hollywood as an actor or in prison for life, as he doesn\'t fit in anywhere else. good comparison. lol.

its also crimes against the elderly, if the victim is over 55, I just thought of that.
