hubby told him
I'm glad this one wasn't on me. What a sense of relief it was not having to be the one or even a part of it. My husband found the moment to tell T of the upcoming court date. There were tears. As smart as T is, but because of his immaturity, he just doesn't get it or wants to admit that there is a reason for this court date. As expected, my husband put it all on the PO and the assistant principal, at least that is what it sounded like to me. My husband will not admit it either that he doesn't think that anything should have been done. He doesn't like the PO. He was very angry with him (not to his face) when the PO ordered drug treatment under the guidelines of counsel last year. Hubby doesn't get it either. But it is what it is. I have no control or power to convince either of them that T created this. All I know is I'm nervous about this court date myself but I cannot imagine the judge ordering him to a correctional facility. I asked T's caseworker if she has any idea as to what might or could happen. She said there is no possible way to predict what the judge will decide. She said it depends on the judge, the day, what mood the judge is in, etc. He seems like a reasonable guy. I can't imagine, however, what he could order. So there is no sense in trying to guess.
