Hubby job interview

Don't know if this is positive or not! Hubby had an interview down in the Seattle area today. He could possibly make 13.5 an hr if he got it. He is all for moving to Seattle. (Thinks we can borrow money from my dad to pay move in expenses.) Personally, I go from hopeful to terrified. In the positive, this would be the highest amt he has ever earned since we dated, we get half off Comcast services and a better apartment. Might also give me an opportunity to take some time to job search and apply for disability (assuming my rheumy approves). In the negative the idea of packing and sorting through the apartment is daunting to say the least, I'd be moving away from my mom (major support person), losing my job and would have to change all my doctors. This is all scary. I am not used to "big" cities and I think it would take me a long time to get used to it. Anywho, we will cross that bridge when we get to it! Or, not put the cart before the horse; or count our chickens before they hatch. Moore later -- Genny

I hate to say it but this doesn\'t sound like it\'s best for you. I was a Navy wife for 16 years. Moving is HARD! Even when we had a company come in and pack us up and move us. I totally understand the fear of big cities. My first was Chicago, second San Diego....I\'ll explain more about all of this if you want me to. I\'m agoraphobic...so those moves were actually traumatizing to me.

Change is hard for us fibro folks once we have established ourselves and our routine. Moving away from your main support person would be tough too. On the other hand, sometimes a big change is exactly what we need. It is easy to get in a comfort zone. I have applied for a job and am still waiting to hear-it is hard to wonder at the possibilities and what will be best in the end. SOmetimes and old-fashioned pros and cons list can be helpful.
