How to Talk Openly with a Doctor?
I don't know how to speak candidly about my feelings and my life. I made an appointment to go to the doctor next week. I plan to talk to her about my depression which is not resolved, to talk about my migraines and body pain that is just as bad or worse than it has been the past few years, to talk about my weight that is going out of control. I think I'm gaining weight because of the desire to self-medicate the physical and emotional pain. Food is my friend and my enemy.
I need to get my crap together but I do not know how. If I can get on disability for depression and or migraines I could have my student loans potentially discharged. I don't care about getting money for disability. I just want to get rid of those stupid student loans that I cannot ever pay. My husband is able to provide for our family, but we do not have an extra $500 per month to pay off my student loan. I don't even have $50 extra. And he makes enough that we cannot claim poverty. We're the working poor, I guess. But not dirt poor, just mostly poor. LOL
I think if I started the medically supervised weight loss for 6 months or whatever, I probably would lose most of the weight that I need to lose or would lose if I had weight loss surgery. Then I wouldn't be a candidate for WLS anymore. I'm in pain all the freaking time. I'm much too young to feel this damn old.
I feel kind of irritated today and I don't have a reason why.
Maybe it's that unquenchable hunger in my mouth and mind.
I am going to make myself write down my issues, taking note of the SSA 12.04 requirements for affective disorders and making sure that the doctor gets those into her notes. I thought that my depression was improving, but I think it was just getting covered up. It's so hard to go to sleep at night and even harder to get out of bed in the morning.
