How To Properly Hold Golf Stick

When you manage the position, you want to grab the golf club first.. wait.. what? Which one is up? Is it like a hockey stick or a baseball player? This is what this article is about. Don't worry, it won't be difficult. Here we go. Generally, the right-handers have their clever hand on the club handle (after the golf - on the GRIP) lower and the left hand higher. If you are a special type who writes one and throws the other hand, you have your throwing hand on the grip below.
For the sake of simplicity, I will describe holding only for right-handed golfers with a club on the right side, the others simply have everything upside down, including the club.
Gripping sticks
First, in general. The first time you catch a golf club, you will notice that it is quite heavy, with all the weight concentrated in the head of the club. Try to swing your stick several times in one hand and the other and then show it in any direction, as if it were a pointer at school. This is how you naturally grab the stick in your fingers and that's right. This is how you should hold the stick, whether you are strong, weak, big or small.

Basic types of holding
If you cannot lift your cane head with your wrist, the following type of posture will come in handy:
Baseball grip - the hands on the grip just touch and the fingers do not overlap. Simply grab the stick as described above and move your hands on the grip together so that they lightly touch each other. If you have lifted the stick without difficulty and have small hands or shorter fingers will be pleasant to you.
Interlock holding.
Tiger Woods uses this kind of possession. Interlock means that when the hands on the grip are together to form a firm connection between them, the little finger and the left forefinger will cross. This puts the hands closer together and the thumb of the left hand fits into the right palm. As in the picture. And then there is another kind of possession that is very often used, and that is :

Overlock.
This kind of holding differs from the previous one only in the position of the right finger. This time the little finger is placed in the gap between the index finger and the middle finger. This hold is for players with big hands or long fingers. So these are the basic kinds of possession. If you learn to hold the stick properly, the head of the stick will come to the ball regularly as normal as possible (perpendicular to the direction of play).
Hand position on the grip
The position of the hands on the stick grip should be such that the line between the thumb and the edge of the palm on both hands points to the right collarbone. As shown in the figure.
In the next pictures, check out the most common wrong hand positions when holding the cane. Each position affects the movement of the club and, as a result, where the ball will fly, so proper holding is an important part of the golf foundation. Like posture, holding determines which way and how the player will swipe, so it is not advisable to underestimate him.
