How To Plaster The Wall Correctly In Some Steps

When plastering the old walls or new walls, always wait until the mortar hardens and the masonry "sits." If the air is prevented from reaching the mature masonry, the masonry will not be so firm and you will additionally close the dampness in the masonry.
Mix the plaster in the construction mixer. Either buy a dry plaster mix or mix the mix yourself. First, pour 60 to 70% of the required amount of water into the mixer, add lime and cement. A universal binder can also be mixed. Allow this mixture to mix for a minute and then add the sand in the appropriate ratio. Finally, pour the water and dilute the mixture to the required consistency.
Use the smallest mixture for scrubbing - the first wall swab. This sparse mixture must run down the spoon. First, sprinkle the area with water. And then cover it completely with a sparse mixture. The surface is rather dirty and creates sharp protrusions, and then it will be better to grab the final plaster. When spraying, a continuous layer must not be created. We use lime-cement mortar.
Pour the mortar with a masonry spoon from the masonry towel and cast it on the wall with a loose wrist. We need to gradually acquire this skill. The first cast wall is going to be a disaster, so it is advisable to order this work at least for the first time the bricklayer and look around. Malta must adhere to the surface, but it must not splash under impact on the substrate. Apply the plaster with the spoon always from the top down, and the too stiff consistency that makes the cake on the wall is not appropriate. Like the thin mortar that runs down the wall. Malta can be cast directly from the masonry ladle, but it really wants to be a real experience, and the mortar has to be a lot greasy.
To achieve the level, it is necessary to prepare plasters, according to which the plaster is lined up. You can use the specified products - thin bars and or fixed wires. They are mounted on the plaster targets that are aligned with spirit level and plumb line. Place the plaster targets vertically and horizontally about 120 to 150 cm apart. Their diameter should be about 20 to 30 cm.

Immediately after the plaster is applied, the lattice is removed. The blades are moving from top to bottom and at the same time alternating sides. For this purpose, any board can be used, but it will not change anyway, but for example, a 2 meter aluminum spirit level or at least an aluminum lath. Aluminum blade is easier to clean and does not deposit residues of mortar, it is also lighter and does not create unevenness in the layer of plaster.
When choosing a type of plaster we must know the humidity of the building. Cement plaster closes moisture in the masonry and later begins to decay. The old cement plaster is covered, the masonry is dried and replaced with lime plaster. Lime plaster is breathable. If there are old lime plasters on the masonry, they are not damp and there is no mold, we only cover the incoherent areas, the elusive parts and the parts that are tapped, which means that they do not hold on to the masonry.
