How To Improve At Indoor Playground In 60 Minutes

As an August baby, we always had small family parties outside at my house. But, together with sons born in November and March, we're always left to reserve an indoor place for their parties, if we chose to have them that season. While those with kids with summer birthdays may seem blessed to have numerous options at their disposal, it can also often feel overwhelming.
While at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play we might be biased since we sponsor indoor celebrations, I wished to share with all the 5 most common reasons we hear from previous celebration clients to reserve indoor summer evenings with us. To them, the stress-free temperament of the indoor summertime celebration is really a no-brainer, and they're not looking back! Following their first indoor summer celebration they keep hosting with us year after year.

1) NO WEATHER WORRIES

The most common reason for a customer to book a summer indoor party with us is they don't need to stalk the weather forecast for updates in the weeks leading up to the celebration. Nothing can derail a pleasure party faster than having to cram all your guests within your home, waiting for a storm to pass. And if you've ever needed to cancel or postpone your kid's birthday because of weather, then you realize how heartbreaking that could be.
We get dozens of calls each summer a couple of days before somebody's outdoor celebration is supposed to happen to see if we've got an open slot for them within our indoor party venue because of weather woes. We can normally pull this off if the place is open, but hosts will unfortunately have to scramble and allow all their guests know of the change in place and likely shift in time, and also change all their catering requests to accommodate their new party program.
While of course rain is probably the biggest obstacle you may face, extreme warmth, unseasonably cool weather, and wind may also pose problems for your decorations, food, and your guests' possessions. You'll likely find yourself investing in a kayak or some other weather barrier simply to ease your mind a bit, which are costly and take lots of precious time to prepare and take down. I won't even tell the story of the time my Dad put a tent up for a celebration in a windstorm and wound up with an insurance coverage for 4 ruined cars when it blew away (weights and anchors and all!) ...

Besides the obvious weather worries it's possible to avoid with a indoor celebration, there can also just be something really straightforward and lovely about an indoor summer celebration. Guests will not need to worry about bringing sunscreen and towels and towels and swimsuits and changes of clothing and insect spray... you get the picture.
Sometimes it's nice to take a short break in the outside, sip coffee in an air borne cafe, and have an actual conversation with other adults while the children play, instead of chasing kids around trying to get their fur on them or keeping them away from your in-ground pool. I am not sure about you, but I could never really relax at an outdoor summer birthday party with a two and a 4 year-old. While they sure do have a fantastic time running around, we usually leave in a daze or with a tantrum, unsure if we had time to chat or check in with everyone.
While I absolutely adore a fantastic barbecue or summer grilling extravaganza, I find it so refreshing when we can take a break in the same-old backyard celebration and spend a couple of hours at a relaxing, cool, and most significantly -- contained! -- atmosphere.
It's also freeing as a guest to have the remainder of the day to do as we want as a family and not have to be concerned about getting the kids to a bath immediately after the party or quitting home to cool off and change clothes.
I promise that in the event you reserve an indoor party for your son or daughter, guests (especially family) might seem a little confused at first (why not just take advantage of the summer weather while we can, right?) But after hosting countless indoor playground supplier parties I will tell you for certain that on the day-of, you and your visitors will realize how nice it is to reunite in an air-conditioned private party for a few hours.

3) EATING IN PEACE

Speaking of how relaxing an indoor, air-conditioned celebration can be, how can we discuss food for a moment?
Therefore, for our loved ones, the meals factor alone could be sufficient to warrant an indoor celebration.
Eating in peace without having to find shade or a chair or a location away from bugs is one of those things you don't realize can be so glorious before you attend your fourth or fourth outside summer gathering and after that get a break from them. One of the most common things we hear is how fine it's to just sit and eat and watch the kiddos play with no any venue-related cares or worries. This is going to be particularly important when you're going to be needing elderly family members attend that can struggle with being mobile in the sand or marijuana and finding seating at outdoor parties.
Plus, when was the last time you attended an outdoor summer celebration with a full espresso bar and cafe available for guests to enjoy now they don't need to be concerned about running around chasing their kids in the warmth?

4) DECOR OPTIONS GALORE

While celebration aesthetic might not be a determining factor for each and every household, it sure is much simpler to create a themed extravaganza that lighting a youngster's face up when the party's indoors. The decorations demanded tend to be less since the place is smaller and contained contained, and you won't need to be concerned about balloons and streamers blowing all about or procuring table covers .
Because we do host mobile events outside at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play, I will also speak from experience once I say the time that it takes to set up (and take down!) Decorations for an outdoor celebration compared to a indoor party usually ends up being at least double. Finding good places to hang banner, needing two people to hold and secure everything, and finding weights or other restraints for everything may be a genuine hassle on celebration.
And you'll have enough to worry about this afternoon, right?
Furthermore, if your own pinterest planks are full of cute centerpieces, a candy bar, or anything which could possibly be affected by wind (or attract bees!) You will probably have to restrategize for an outdoor soiree.
And of course decor typically can only be utilized once if used outdoors, but repurposed again and if used for an indoor event. Our guests that sponsor indoor events, especially those who spent significant money into decoration or labored hard to create their own, are very happy to find they could usually make a huge chunk of their cash back by reselling their supplies on something such as Facebook Marketplace.

Speaking of cash, probably the greatest misconception I hear from customers is they want to host a party at their house to save the leasing fee of an indoor space. I usually laugh at this because it makes perfect sense, in other words, if you have never hosted an outside celebration.
With all of the"extras" such as tents, seat rentals, additional decorations, weather reinforcements, cleanup provides, games and activities for the children (which you won't need to supply at a play area!) It's very likely you are going to end up spending MUCH more hosting a party at your home or an outdoor venue than you would inside.
I am not sure how other indoor spaces handle their equipment, but we just charge guests to get additional drinks and supplies and these on the day of the celebration if they end up needing themand we also enable parties to bring in their OWN food, dessert, and decor should they choose!
Money aside, spending countless hours cleaning prior to, during, and following the celebration may also take a toll. Wouldn't it be nice to walk into a sparkling clean area and leave with your guests when the party's over, not having to worry about the clean-up, trash removal, tent teardown, etc?
It's possible to just go home and relax with your loved ones (yes, possibly outside!) At a nice clean house that was not just trampled by party guests and all their sand, grass, and sunscreen.
Along with the time spent cleaning before and after the party, wouldn't it ALSO be nice to not have to play"host" throughout the event? For customers that bring in their own food and decor, our dedicated party assistants set everything up, refill and mend food and drinks as necessary, clear dishes, cut and serve the cake, and pack up all the leftovers in the end of the celebration!
After all, it is your child's special day and you wish to spend those valuable hours making memories and visiting with your guests-- not running around chasing your decorations or refilling the fruit bowl countless times.
So save everybody (and especially your own family!) We'd be honored to offer you an easy, breezy experience which will leave your entire guest list feeling joyful, thankful, and full of love after having a relaxing (yet fun-filled!) day together.
