How things are going for me, not bad.

Hello all, I am finally journalling.  I have this idea that I am going to journal once a week or more to keep you posted on how things are going.  I have a problem with finding something to talk about because my life is so boring, lol.  I enjoy my life but it is the same each day it seems with nothing to write about.  I need to change my way of thinking & just do it anyway.  I know I love to hear how things are going in your lives.
Misty & I mowed the yard tonight.  We have to wait until the sun is down because of her Lupus, the sun gives her a rash & her Lupus flares badly.  So anyway, we had to each mow for awhile & then trade off so we could rest.  It took us a couple of hours but the grass looks real nice now.  My grandson, Deylan, is 16 but his cardiologist will not let him mow or shovel snow or anything strenuous.  We are trying to keep him from needing a double lung transplant & he is doing really well, his numbers are low so that is a good thing.  He wishes he could help more but I am happy with the housework he does & taking out the garbage is a huge thing.  My body is complaining but my spirit is happy I did some work, reminds me of my old life & how I loved to get out in the yard & weed, mow & dig in the dirt.
Muffin, our Pekanese, has now joined the ranks of the ill in our family.  She had a seizure a couple of weeks ago so we took her to see the vet.  He said she will have another one someday but it may not be for a year or two, just keep an eye on her.  He noticed a heart murmur & so we had an x-ray done & her heart is enlarged, she has heart disease.  She is on a heart med & we now feed her a low sodium diet.  We have made her treats for her for a while so now we use no salt or anything with a lot of salt in it.  Finding a dog food with low sodium was hard but we did find one at the feed store & it wasn't as pricey as some we found online so that's good.  Since she has been on the medication she seems back to her old self.  She also had an ear infection from getting water in her ears, my granddaughter, Emily, gives her a bath every Friday or as often as she remembers.  Now we put plugs in her ears & she is all better after the regime of ear salve for a week.  Boy, that one visit was expensive but she is a member of our family so we will all tighten our belts.
I have been going up & down with my fatigue, I am always tired but somedays I just can't get out of bed.  If I do get out of bed I lay on the couch & just veg.  Okay, I have to tell you, I came in from mowing to make myself a latte & realized I was still in my pajama's.  I had a good chuckle & then went right back outside.  I had already been out there for several hours so I decided the neighbors would just have to laugh at me & shake their heads.  Had to share.
I am sorry that some of you have been going through hard times, my thoughts & prayers are with you all.  Hugs, Denise

I\'m so glad you journaled, Denise!!

It\'s good to get outside and do something, even if it is in our pajamas! Yep!! Good for you for mowing! My daughter has to avoid the sunlight due to her lupus as well. It\'s a bit tricky in the summer for these patients. Sunlight shines down between tree branches and sometimes people don\'t realize they are being exposed. Lupus is such a nasty illness!

I\'m so sorry about your doggie! She has a seizure disorder AND heart disease! Goodness! Our furry loved ones suffer from all the things that we do!! I\'m glad you found an affordable for Muffin!! They are our little furry children!!

I\'m sorry to hear about Deylan! It seems lung problems are everywhere right now...or maybe I\'m just noticing it more since it is now in my life.

You are in my prayers, Denise!! Keep journaling! It\'s important! xoxox

Glad to hear from you! Not boring at all! I love hearing about my friend. :)
So glad you were able to be outside for a while. Doesn\'t it feel SO good?!?! It\'s nice to feel \"normal\" on any level. I am thrilled if I\'m able to walk outside. I can relate to your daughter. I developed a sun sensitivity that nobody can figure out. I\'ve just figured it\'s another strange CFS/FMS symptom. I get burning nerve pain and a killer headache if I\'m exposed to direct sun. I\'ve been trying to cover up to see if that helps. Can\'t tell. I look ridiculous but who cares. Lol. And glad I\'m not the only one going outside in my pajamas! ;)
Aw, so sorry about your sweet fur baby. Isn\'t it hard to see them suffer! I\'m glad you found food and medicine that is helping. Thank goodness for vets who can help us help them. We have a pekinese too. He\'s the most recent addition. He cracks me up daily with his little squeals. He looks like a seal but barks like a walrus. Love em.
Your family seems so wonderful. You seem like you all take care of each other.
Thanks for sharing!! Love and hugs to you...

Hi there Denise, I love it when you journal because you are an inspiration to me.Out there in your jammies, you and Misty taking turns to get that lawn done. Both with physical illnesses but always great team work.So many obstacles with health issues but all that beautiful family love gets you through.
I am presently overwhelmed with family struggles. My daughter may have to have surgery on her spine again, my granddaughter has some problem with her throat still after having surgery, it should have healed. My son has developed an anxiety disorder from his marriage problems and is having panic attacks. My husband is tired out and barely coping, and I am major crashed, can\'t even walk. Then I look at your situation , certainly not an easy one . However, you soldier on and maintain such a positive and strong approach and also have a much better acceptance of what life has dealt you.So truly you do inspire me and I need to learn from you.I hope Muffins health improves, pets are an important part of the family. My granddaughter Mischa has a purebred miniature fox terrier and loves him dearly. Not great for a guard dog that\'s for sure, he hides under my skirt.I think they got a little dog because I\'m dog phobic. So sorry about Deylan, hope things improve for him.
Well now lovely lady, make sure you journal again, you have such a natural warm heart to share.Love and healing hugs for all your family.
