How the VALENTINE PARTY went

Yesterday we had our annual Valentine party at our senior residence. It is nice that they care enough to plan these types of things for us. We often get entertainment in the form of gospel or country music, too. At the Valentine's party a woman played some love songs on the piano.

For "favors", we got a heart-shaped, pink lollipop! I took mine home and sucked on it today. There were also balloons tied to some of the chairs. The building manager told a few corny jokes and asked for some contributions from the audience.

I TOLD ONE. "Why should you never tell your secrets to a pig?"

Because he will squeal.

We were served pink punch. I only took a few swallows of mine because it's pure sugar and I was going to get enough sweet stuff without adding the punch.

Likewise, they served "potato sticks" and I ate only a few of them, not wanting too much salt and grease.

I ate four little cheese cubes (about the size of dice) along with two crackers.

We got a jumbo strawberry! Ate that.

The best/worst attraction was a cupcake. The cake part was rather small, but it had a LOT of icing. I ate it all, which is why I skimped on some of the other food.

This morning I SKIPPED our Coffee Corner because I knew they would serve leftover cupcakes and I didn't want to eat one again!

In the evening I ate more than I planned--not sweets but general food. I was already getting anxious about my doctor visit planned for Monday. I didn't totally binge or anything, but I'm trying to work on my anxiety, which seems to be a trigger for me.

Today I'm doing fine!

Love to all,
Judy
