How She Lived

A few days ago I watched Oprah.  Her guests were a couple who had lost their three children in a horrific car accident.  There story was so sad my heart was broken for them.  Throughout the program their were videos of the children; Kyle, Emma and little Katie... beautiful children, smiling, laughing, playing, happier times... I was so impressed about what their mom Cindy said...  She said that she and her husband were working on remembering not how they died but rather how they died.
Awesome...

In that spirit this weekend I am going to work really hard on remembering good days in Cara's life... I want to see her in my minds eye... to hear her... to feel her... to be grateful for her.

Here, here!! I didn\'t see Oprah but there\'s been a lot of talk about it. Cara remembers the good days and thats what she wants you to remember. I pray Cara\'s love fills up your heart, and that everynight as you close your eyes you see her beautiful face and \"look at me\" smile. Hugs to you sweetie, I\'m walking right there beside you. Yes, remembering how they lived and not just their deaths is so important. Again and again I appreciate the reminder of this as it can become so easy to stay focused just on that one moment rather than their lifetime. Hugs to you and thank so much for sharing. Beautiful picture too of your precious Cara! XO Joanie

I saw Oprah that day. What a strong family. I can not imagine what all they went through. Thinking of you, Kelly

We would probably all be happier if we could concentrate on how our children lived and not how they left us. If only we could remember to consistently do this. Sounds good. Truly your friend, BarbaraWawa

I haven\'t seen this particular episode yet...I record them and watch when I can. I will definitely watch it today and I know I too will be touched and inspired. I know Kala understands when I cry, but she is ever coaxing me forward to joy and laughter.

With joy and thanksgiving, I proudly shout CARA!
