how life changes...

So about a year ago, I found out my boyfriend, of 6 years,  whom I lived with,  was sleeping with and publicly dating someone else. This broke me,  I was basically homeless,  not working at the time and honestly didn't want to live anymore. I had invested so much in that relationship to have it ultimately shoved in my face and it hurt worse than anything I've ever been through in my life. In that suffering came peace. I'm thankful now because I would've stayed in an abusive toxic relationship forever had he not hurt me so badly I thought i couldn't go on. Instead i focused on me and what makes me happy,  something I hadn't done in years. I met a great guy who treats me well, and am now engaged and 7 months pregnant with a little girl. I'm thrilled.  Im also working part time at a yoga studio, something I really enjoy and was given a chance to after turning it down 2 years ago because my ex told me it was stupid. This was a long process, coming out of depression, and dealing with being pregnant, as I wasn't trying to get pregnant and just months before was still battling with some addictions and issues with the ex. I believe my getting pregnant may have saved my life. I wasn't happy living for myself and not sure I ever could've been. I have something, someone to live for now and do better by. I quit smoking,  drinking,  taking my medication, caffeine,  anything that could harm baby and this was something i couldn't do for a decade. I'm thankful and grateful more now than angry and spiteful. My mom and I have never gotten along better. The father of my child is divorced,  and has two small children. I would be lying if I said this was my fairy tale, but I'd take him over my abusive ex any day. Just needed to vent this out,  haven't been on here in so long... hope everyone is doing okay!
