How I Miss You

I've been doing pretty good, hon. But how I miss you. Your smile, your laugh. Spending everyday together. Coffee, breakfast and newspaper in the mornings. Carpooling to work. Chat on the way, and chat via home.

I am surrounded by memories. Photos, remembrances, my bands, and my last name. I sense your presence 24/7, never forgetting that outside of God, you were the most important person in my life. And, you still are.

I would have done absolutely anything for you, as with love, I was 100% selfless. I gave my everything over the years, to you, to Dad, and to Mom. However, I must admit, I am not perfect, and I did my share of mistakes. But there was always that foundation of love that we drew on, and moved forward with our life.

I will not release you, nor forget you, nor replace you. I remember having my palm read many years ago, and I was told that you would always be the one for me. People may poo poo at psychics, fortune tellers, and mediums, but some are true seers. Whomever this person was, she was 100% correct on her vision.

I am so happy that you chose me to be your bride, your wife, and to share life with. I am still and forever Mrs. X and look forward to the day when we are together again. At that time we will continue where we left off and you will show me everything that heaven has to offer. I thank you for the song you sent me a few weeks after you left. A song that describes what heaven is like. Yes, my love, I wish you were here as much as you wish I was there. I know how much you wanted to live because you loved me. You didn't want to leave me. But we had no choice.

The only choice I have now is to live my life alone, on my own, carrying your love in my heart and soul. Living alone is comforting, peaceful and serene. Unlike other people, I am not lonely nor in desire of male companionship. I have become my own best friend, formed closer bonds with our combined family, and made some new friends. And I know that you and God had a hand in placing those new friends in my life.

I know you hear my prayers, as I pray to God every day to support my decisions, give me strength and peace, and allow me to continue to live my life on my own as when I make that transition to heaven, I want to look into your eyes, knowing that I waited for you and only you.

You were the most unique man I have ever met, and there isn't another male on this earth that possesses the qualities you had. God bless your Mother, and Father, for creating the precious person that you are.

I love you so much that my heart could burst. I miss you so much that I silently scream at times, for no one can fully understand the depth of my soul but me. There is no way to explain it, nor make anyone understand it.

Your loving wife and eternal partner, Debbie
