How did he get this old?
Last Tuesday I went to the 50th birthday party for the very youngest member of my old baseball team. He started playing with us in 1977. Wow....1977. That was a looooong time ago. I must have been a 2 year old player-manager. It was a great turn out and we afforded him all the pomp and circumstance due a man of his advanced years. His aunts and mother presented him with a port-a-potty decorated in his favorite teams colors with a bottle opener on one arm rest and a place for his tv remote and tp on the other. We presented him with his first year's membership in AARP....and a case of metamucil. A good time was had by all and poor old Dave survived it all with as much dignity as he could muster. Which wasn't much. I thought we guys had ribbed Dave pretty well but... between his aunt, his mom, and his sister's stunts...our jibes were nothing. (Remind me not to anger that group of ladies...if they can do all this to their relative for fun, imagine what they could do to a non family member when they were serious. I shudder to think about it). Dave did have a good time and that's what mattered. I'm feeling OK and I hope that you are too. Tom
