How could this have happened?
How could this have happened? I bought a new computer. My first one ever and I am so excited about it I can't think of much else. Jeff left me his but it was a dinosaur. On my yahoo email page I have a folder for everything DS & FMO related. I went to it today to bring up a very special email that Barbara sent to me only a week or two before she passed. Maybe three weeks because it was after her family had taken away her computer & phone. I know her family got them back a few minutes at a time so it was in that era.
I went to the DS folder and it is empty. In fact, every folder I have ever had is now empty. I am a very sentimental person and some of these emails were very special to me. I had the only email Jeff had ever sent me. A very nice email from one of Jeff's pediatric ICU nurses from after he passed telling me how much she enjoyed being his nurse.
It's all gone. How could this happen? I thought I was saving things to my email account, not to the computer.

I wonder if there is a way to retrieve them. They say that nothing is really gone. Do you know a computer geek to ask? I would be devastated.

Yeah, I\'m very challenged when it comes to these things but I\'m sure it\'s some where in there. Call your support people from the place you bought your computer. Best of luck. Robin

Can you still get them on the old computer? If so, you should be able to get them anywhere. Contact your e-mail provider (hotmail, gmail whoever they are) and ask them how to transfer them. They must still be there! Amber
I would try all the above solutions. I also have heard that nothing is every really gone but I do not know how to retrieve them. I hope you find them!
OH Dear! I sure hope this has been resolved and all is now back in the right folders! I too have always heard nothing is ever \"really\" gone...it just hides really well. Maybe the Geek Squad from Best Buy (if you have one nearby) can find the missing emails?? Fingers are crossed and begging the powers that be to LET IT BE!
