How can I?
My dog has been going downhill. Her seizures are getting more frequent and her medication is helping her less and less. I know I am going to lose her eventually and it will be difficult because I am home alone most of the day and the isolation is very depressing. I seldom go anywhere because money is tight.
The red cross called me up repeatedly yesterday to donate blood. I always gave and they like me. I am a universal donar and I always give two pints whole. They call it the double red where they take two pints out, put the plasma back in and keep the red blood cells. That is like gold to them. Not many people are qualified to give that but I am and so they always call when there is a shortage. I told them I would love to if you can find me a ride. It's 30 miles round trip to the nearest location. Apparently they couldn't find me a ride because they stopped calling. Ahh well. I hate to say that my days of giving are over, that is, unless things change dramatically financially!
I had always been the one to give. I always gave money to kids or people collecting for whatever cause. I never turned anyone down. I always dropped money in the Salvation Army bucket at Christmas. I always helped those less fortunate then myself. Now I am less fortunate but no, I take that back! I am fortunate to have my friends here at ds that will listen to me vent and sympathise with me.
There is always a positive with every negative.
God Bless and TC!
