Hospital and more hospital

Things have been so hectic I realized I haven't updated.  So last Friday I finally saw my regular doctor, and things were going great so I was quite surprised when he decided to send me over to Labor & Delivery because of my high blood pressure and I was starting to have small amounts of protein in my urine.  He warned me it might be overnight, but I was hoping not.
So I got to L & D about 10:30 am.  They checked me in, drew blood and sent me over to Maternal & Fetal medicine for an ultrasound to check baby's size, fluid, etc.  Transport never showed up, so I had to walk (really great for someone on bedrest for high blood pressure).  U/s was good, Sammy measured about 6lbs 5oz, in the 87th percentile, about two weeks ahead, fluid was good.  After having me sitting in dr's office for like 30 minutes to talk to him, they decide to take my blood pressure.  Duh.  It was very high.  So they called transport and they actually showed up and back to L & D where I got a room.
I was hooked up to the doppler and sensor for contractions, and blood pressure cuff taking my blood pressure every 30 minutes, which hurt like hell.  They drew more blood, started an IV in case of emergency (Ow again) and started another 24 hour urine test (at that point I figured out I was staying overnight).  DH came to visit and brought me dinner.  It was a miserable night....got about 2 hours sleep between the monitors all night, being uncomfortable in a crappy bed, and the nurse coming in all the time to check blood pressure, reposition monitors.  I was so ready to go home Saturday.
That didn't happen though.  My 24 hour urine test went until 2pm, and the results didn't come back until after 4pm, so I am guessing the dr didn't want to be bothered with a discharge that late in the day of a holiday weekend.  Grrr.  They did transfer me to Mother & Baby, with less monitoring (only once per shift instead of constant) and blood pressure every 4 hours.  I got a whopping 4 hours sleep Sat night, still woken up by nurses for blood pressure, blood work, etc.  I was SOOO tired.
Drs finally decided to let me go home Sunday, calling it mild pre-eclampsia, and back home to strict bed rest and follow up with my OB.  YAY!!  Sleep and a bath was so wonderful!
Felt good monday, home blood pressures were good.  Then back to OB on Tues, and of course my blood pressure was high again.  He couldn't get it down in the office, so to be safe, guess where I went. Yup. Back to L & D. :(  Got one high reading when I first got there, then it went back down to normal levels and stayed down.  They took more blood and urine, all came back normal, and they let me go home after two hours.
So my bp was good all day yesterday until last night when it went up.  Had a shitty night with little sleep and I have another u/s today at the hospital with Maternal/fetal med, so I am scared my pressure will be up and I will end up in L & D again.  Then back to OB tomorrow, again worried about being back at the hospital.  Hopefully I will know more about what the plan is after the u/s today....will be 35 weeks tomorrow and I am praying they let me get as close to 36 weeks as possible before delivering.  It's so stressful not knowing what is going on, and worrying that I could have to deliver at any moment.  I just want some kind of an idea of a plan.

Your going through what I did. Id always get nervous at the doctors appointment, waiting to be called, then them taking my BP. I could feel my pulse just race. Course I was sent to L&D every time starting at 35 almost 36 weeks. I never had to stay overnight, so you got that on me, that must have sucked. How\'s bedrest going? I know it can be hard.

Bed rest is ok.....my home blood pressures are pretty much fine. Only super high at the doctor. Glad to know I am not alone. :)

I know how miserable the hospital is. Why can\'t they just make the beds more comfortable?? I had to stay 3 nights when they tried to induce my first because of high bp. It was awful! And you don\'t get any more sleep when you\'re staying in recovery either with the constant checks. I left the hospital a day early with my 2nd just so I could get some sleep. I hope you can stay home at least. Have they been increasing your medication? I\'m pretty sure I\'m about to be put on BP meds. Mine just won\'t stay down anymore. It\'s up and down all day and night.

@2angelsabove- I am not yet on meds, they haven\'t mentioned it yet. For now, it seems they are just monitoring me closely. My bp\'s are pretty good at home most of the time, they only get really high at the doctor. Hopefully it will stay this way and I can go another two weeks until term. For now, more bed rest and hopefully I can avoid the hospital tomorrow after my regular OB appointment.
