HOPPY EASTER!! dinner at k's//his friend's husband died//vonage phone for $12 per month!!
HOPPY EASTER!!! "Take a moment and just look at your day from the mindNow look from the heart, feel the day... how does that feel..."
easter, re-growth and rebirth. i totally love easter. love the whole thing. the weather, the clothes, the symbolism and of course its a high christian holiday, the proof that MORE exists out there. planet earth is not the top. christ has risen.
very long day today. tired and napping a lot. vonage is now offering a phone for $12 per month with voice mail. no charge to calls coming in unlimited, only limited (five hours) for calls going out. so its like when you would call person to person or collect when young and then the person just calls you back rather than go through large bills wherever you were at the time. that was before cell phones and international calls being free. boy am i old. actually feels old lately. k decided to order this and the phone goes directly to voicemail. the plan was to look at the acre again in the middle of the city. but couldn't reach him and he couldn't reach me. this will be fun. i hope it sorts itself out.
had dinner at k's. brought over lobster bisque soup which was excellent. and warm lobster bits which were great grilled. he wrapped them in bacon. he made steaks and stuffed baked potatoes - all well planned with veggies. he got a new warmer and wanted to use it. does it matter, i would think a microwave handles all that. all excellent. the steaks are best and better with teriaki sauce rather than the bernaise in my opinion.
i brought over chocolate biscotti from the hope store (excellent) and he had pepperidge farm lemon layer cake, also excellent for desert with coffee. i really need to diet and wish i'd take it more seriously. but haven't so far.
k's friend and former patient was visiting and brought over a pumpkin nut bread which was also excellent. she needs help with her house and estate. her husband died recently. i don't know them. just remember she used to come to k's house for adjustments even after he "retired" several years ago and he kept telling her, he didn't think it was a good idea for him to be doing adjustments anymore. i don't think she comprehended that he was giving up his practice completely and still has except for using the ultrasound machine when someone he knows is injured, but that is all. she was a patient for like 20 years and wouldn't listen to him. (i also think she needed to keep consistencies in her life and he wasn't getting that, or its like e said, and he shouldn't be practicing because at that time he was partying too much). she lives on a golf course, why didn't he just take up golf and visit her. i said that to k and he says, he has a golf course right here, that he doesn't use. which is true. they don't even use the countryclub there, even though they pay the fees on it by living there. lol.
she has some kind of stenosis of the spine. she is STILL in a lot of pain. she should try acupuncture, that seems to work for a lot of people. so does SWIMMING back stroke, especially, in WARM swimming pools, over 84 degrees in the pool or it won't help. her cat also died, and she sounds lonely. i asked her to foster animals or adopt. she lives on a golf course and it would really be a godsend. right now she is very nervous and needs to alter her will immediately, because she doesn't want her house going to her ex's sons. they have the same name as her deceased husband and they aren't related to her. her present will leaves everything to her now deceased husband. his sons live about an hour south of where she is. its a mess.
i hope she decides to foster animals and adopt animals again. "lose one, get back two."
k says she has depression. she should. its a lot of loss. she also lost her mother several years ago and it was her mother who found their cat that died recently. she said it was on their windowsill and her mother says to the cat, what are you doing out there, come inside with us. and it was there ever since. lol.

I am tired just reading your journal. Good for you. I hope you can find the land you like. I purchased the Focus Factor and started it today. Any help with
this memory will be appreciated. What you doing for Easter, anything special.
Have a wonderful weekend. XXOO
have to remember to try to do bullet points for journals. and i know what you mean tired reading, i remember when i had my knee injuries, if i read anything active or emotionally charged it would exhaust me.
easter is generally calm and springy. i used to do two because of greek easter. lovvvvve their easter. i wish i didn\'t love lamb. then i started picking it up at a restaurant over here, which is closed as of this year. i was horrified. then k suggested making lamb in addition to ham.
j grills. we have always surf and turfed for all holidays. its slightly modified now because of health issues and even at k\'s, i now refuse the meat portion and take a small fraction of what he offers. don\'t know if its really larger or just seems like it. lots of changes because of health and changes because of death started over ten years ago, though it didn\'t seem big then. smaller is actually way easier. i think smaller is how it should go actually.
I\'m drooling over here, reading about your lobster!! What a yummy dinner! Still catching up with you and learning who is who. Catching up *HUGS*
