Hopeful?

Oh, you always wish you could take the cancer beast away from those who have it, put it in a boxing ring and fight to the finish. I have so much anger about the years of my life it's taken away just from worrying over my loved ones, I just know I could win. What a dreaded disease. Cowardly. It strikes where you can't see, when you don't expect. Makes you wait until it has progressed and has a hold. It hits you when you're down and does its best to hold you there.
Those of you who are fighting it, keep on fighting. Give it everything you have and take whatever strength you can from those around you who are offering support. Know that we love you and if we could, we would fight the fight for you. Know that we hurt as much as you do, and know that we are praying for you every day. Know that we cry with you, fear with you, hope with you, lose sleep with you. Know that if we could, we would take it from you and choose to fight it ourselves.
Most of all, know that we love you and we are hoping beyond all hope that you win your fight. And when we hear of a success or another portion of the battle that went in your favor - whether that be a good day, a good test report, or a successful surgery - we are on top of the world with you.
