hope it's nothing
T didn't ask but told us on the way out the door that he was going to a sleep-over. He didn't even give us a chance to respond. He mentioned who he was going with and it did put us at ease some - "prominent" person's son in our community. Plus my husband works with one of the relatives of this family - so (I guess) we felt better. Of course, no phone calls to us. He was gone all the next day and we couldn't get a hold of him, except for once. And last night we have no idea what time he came home. All I know is it was late! But even when he "pulls" this "stuff" he continues to surprise me because he seems to be doing well. In fact, when I did finally get a hold of him - he was rock climbing! BTW - I sleep at night and I don't worry very much. In fact, strangely enough, it bothers me a little bit that I'm not bothered. Oh - I heard from our pastor Sunday morning. He called me and (hee-hee) almost made me late for church, to tell me that he will be choosing a date for the presentation for the parents at our church's school. He also said he was almost finished with the book I lent him "Left To Tell" by Immaculee "______" (sorry not sure how to spell her last name) and told me he is interested in having her come and speak to our church. My sister lent me the same book and told me she heard her speak at her church, which prompted her to read the book. It's an incredible story of a young woman that survived the Rwanda genocide. During that time she established an amazing, and very close relationship with God that got her through the horrible atrocities that she endured. Not only did God help her through this, but she also found herself forgiving the evil people for savagely killing her very close and loving family! It's an amazing, true story and I am so excited that our pastor is interested in having her come to our church! I would be so honored and humbled to meet her. Getting paranoid. I sent 3 e-mails to the high school Assistant Principal about some things (asking him for info. about my program) and I know he's back. He usually returns my e-mails, promptly. I also inquired about the on-line school that we are interested in getting T in - that the school had offered (at one time) for him. We also contacted the Principal who is notorious at not returning e-mails or phone calls. Avoidance is his number one "thing". I really have little respect for him in some areas. Although I don't personally care for him - he does have some amazing, good qualities about him but --- it's difficult to see them because his "other side" seems to over-shadow them - often. Anyway - I'm paranoid because I have a feeling that this isn't going to happen (the school paid for on-line school) and the two of them are avoiding me and my husband because of it. But I want to know what our options are and I know this week is decision time for this. Maybe they're working on it and have no answers right now? But why didn't the AP answer my other e-mails that have nothing to do with the on-line school? I know - I know - I have to let things happen and trust in God that I have no control over this matter. If T isn't accepted then - we will just have to explore some other options. Perhaps I will pray about it. I didn't even consider it until now. * Journaling does have a way of helping one think things through! LOL BTW - my class yesterday was adorable! Everything went extremely well. One little girl (who was one of the older ones) was having a "separation" problem (truthfully - I think it was an attention grabber for her mom) and she even told her mom when her mom came to pick her up that she loved the class and wanted "to stay forever". LOL
