HOOTZBAH and LOTS of it!

Yep, my youngest, if you'd cover his face, I still couldn't deny him....MY TOTAL ATTITUDE! SHEEZ! Take the bull by the horns, I'm right, and let's ride.He was having issues with a teacher, so I said he should speak with his counselor. He spoke with his counselor and stated he felt that he and his teacher had conflicting personalities. (YES HE IS TOO 11). No solution, you will have same teacher, deal with it.After discovering this, I phoned the school to set up a meeting and spoke with the counselor regarding this and the other students call derogatory names at my son. This is totally against school policy and is to be reported ASAP. I sat up a meeting to talk with this teacher but evidently, it was not soon enough to suit my little man as the meeting was for 1 week later. Now, I must give it to him! He's got more ADULT BEHAVIOR in him at 11 than most adults!!!! He calmly, but behind my back, came home, phoned the teacher at HER HOME, and began to discuss their problem. No, he has not to my knowledge applied to the UN altho they could probably learn a thing or two from him regarding being forthright, determined to find a solution, and being ADULT!Much to my surprise, suddenly, he comes and says, "Mom, the phone's for you. It's Ms. So-So." I said "What?" he just gave me the phone and left.BOY WOW WEE! He'd been very adult, very forthright, and honest as well as respectful. She even complimented him for his directness, shall we say? She may have been shocked but I was torn between killing him for sneeking behind my back (maybe he'll be a good spy?) and calling her directly instead of waiting for my meeting date. HOWEVER, you gotta give him his dues. He took the bull by the horns, calmly stated his side, listened to her side, and came to an agreement. ALL ON HIS OWN AT 11!!!!!!!!!I explained to her the entire situation, now I don't need the meeting, and she assured me that she would still be required to teach the class as required but would take into account my son's STRONG religious belief regarding Jesus Christ which he had also evidently felt free to express under the 1st Amendment which I don't know if he really even understands free speech! GLORY!Ok, so I decided to take this as a positive thing. 1- Son was very mature and has initiative. 2 - It was an opportunity to testify of our faith. 3 - Man, the world had better watch out cause he has charm, smarts, and doesn't care to take on anyone or anything when he feels he's right. Nope, couldn't be my kid. ROFLOLHowever, my aunt still thinks instead of Christian Counselor Studies I am better suited for Sniper School.   ROFLOL Hey, that could be useful.......Can't you see it? I mean really.CAN I WRITE MY SON IN FOR 2008 PRESIDENT?  AT LEAST HE TELLS IT STRAIGHT AND DOESN'T BACK DOWN WHEN HE BELIEVES HE'S RIGHT!

You Should be very proud of your little man. He learned from you that sometimes confrontation is necessary to evoke change. That is major, and the fact that he isn\'t shy sure helps. Instead of President I think he should get a degree in global economics and straighten this mess out. The world needs good Christians like Him!

Yep, he knows about money too. Maybe so. Politics would either make him like them or cynical or both. I want my son realistic but strong as the mighty oak, not swaying with every willy-nilly coming & going.
