Hometown tour
I've lived here for 3 yrs and have wandered about town, but never took an official tour until last Sat. There were 3 tour guides and I learned a lot about things I didn't know before. Like Teddy and FDR (the Roosevelts) spent time here. Teddy's daughter Alice was a handful, she was a woman ahead of her time. She didn't like anyone to tell her what to do. Teddy told people who asked him to try to take her in hand said "I can either run the country or control Alice, I can't do both."
We ended our tour by the Ratcliffe Allison Pozer House. I'd been in there before. I decided to do it again. The tour guide was very good. These pics were taken from the garden in back of the House. I believe I have posted photos from the town before, I didn't take pics of the courthouse or the other buildings, this time. There is a yellow swallowtail butterfly and spice bush butterfly
