Home Stretch! 37w5d

Uh I don't remember feeling this miserable at almost 38 weeks with Ava.  Of course, there was an end in site with that pregnancy because we had a scheduled c-section (at 38w5d).  I'm trying VBAC with this one.  So far on 37 weeks exactly, I started losing my mucous plug and since then, have been spotting brown everyday.  All that had been accompanied by major period cramping and lower back pain.  I thought for sure she would come a few days following all those signs...but no, a week later and I'm still pregnant! Worst yet, I had my appointment (Wednesday, 37w3d) and I was not dialated at all!  I was so shocked and disappointed.  I thought for sure I would be dialated at least a little bit after all that!  Nope.
I would give anything for her to come out right now lol.  I am so miserable.  Can't breath, can't sleep, can't eat much, my insides are totally smushed and I feel like a big fat weeble wobble! Work is really hard. I'm going to court 2 times a day and I get stares from everyone! I feel like a freak show, seriously.  I mean hasn't anyone seen a very prgnant person before?  I can't imagine going to 40 weeks with this one. I think she's going to be bigger than Ava.  I have no idea how I'm going to work another day because it's so hard just to get out of bed.  I'm so ready to have my body back and be able to breath and move like normal again.
Phew okay, I'm done complaining.  I know I shouldn't complain.  I know how extremely blessed we we are to have this child coming soon into our lives.  I know I know and I can't wait.  I really did love being pregnant, up until about 33/34 weeks.  At 37 weeks, it became unbearable lol!  But Ian and I are so excited and just can't wait to meet our baby girl Addison.  And thank God we have a name for her finally. Daddy could not make up his mind up until about a week ago.  I had been bugging him for months and months.  I never thought we'd have a name for this child.  Our two names were going to be either Alexa/Alexis or Addison.  It was Ian's turn to choose because I ultimately chose Ava for our first, and he chose Addison (Addie).  Now to think of a middle name. We're in the running with Addison Grace, Addison Marie (my middle name) or Addison Mae. I LOVE Addie Mae but I also really like Addison Grace.  Not sure.
My New Jersey girl's trip was wonderful!  I'm so glad I went.  Traveling was a breeze with all the girl's help.  And once I was there, all the girls took pity on my very pregnant self and I didn't have to do very much at all.  Ava was a dream.  She traveled so well and had a blast.  By the end of the trip, all the girls were so amazed with how smart she is and how much she's talking. They cracked up daily with all her cute antics.  She is quite a character.  But it was really nice to spend a long weekend hanging with all my girls, catching up and relaxing.  We did the beach twice and every day we hung at my gf's beautiful inground pool.  Ava is like a pro swimmer now lol.  With a life jacket, she swims all on her own.  A huge milestone.  I have it on video.  Mommy is so proud.   So after Ian's 40th surprise bday party and Ava's second bday party the following weekend (both were very successful), mama was so ready to get away!  So glad I did.
Now mommy and daddy are totally ready to meet their new baby girl Addison!  And Ava doesn't know it yet, but she's ready to be a big sister!

Hi Dawn, haven\'t checked in on you all pregnancy, sorry! Just saw how far along you are. Time flys, Lucas just enjoyed his 2nd birthday also, and like Ava is a big talker as well. I truly hope you get some relief very soon and that all goes well giving birth to Addie. ( I love the name by the way) wishing you my best, Lisa. Xxx
