Home Safe

I made it home safely. Geo got to borrow his dad's car and picked me up from the airport. That was such a great help. I didn't have to worry about buses and trains home. He stopped by the store on the way home and picked up some stuff for my birthday tomorrow and the Super Bowl. I brought home some good chili beans from LA, and he got the chips, some tomatoes to add to the chili and salsa con queso. We went home, dropped off the groceries and my luggage and I took a short, 20 minute nap. After that, we went to a Thai place for dinner. I got some stir-fried beef, chicken and shrimp combo that was awesome. I'm just glad I got to have a nice birthday dinner with Geo, even if it is a day early. He had to give back the car tomorrow, so we couldn't have gone out to dinner tomorrow night. Plus, tomorrow is Friday, and it would be a pain in the butt to try and get a seat since everyone goes out to eat on Friday.
The plane ride was actually nice except for the part where I dropped my glasses on the floor and couldn't find them. I had to ask the guy next to me to see if he could find them and he did. I ended up spilling ice all over myself as well. It was just a disaster. But, I took some klonopin and managed to sleep for an hour and a half on the plane. I slept through the movie, Footloose. I didn't really want to see that movie anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. Of the movies they were showing on various flights, the only one I was slightly interested in was Puss in Boots, but even then I would have slept through it on my flight since I was so tired. I woke up at 3:30 in the morning after going to bed around 8pm. So I didn't get enough sleep. Tonight I have all the time in the world to sleep, so we will see if I can manage. I have a lot of sleep I want to catch up on.
My mood today has been good.. I didn't have much of a problem on the plane except for about that 10 minutes I talked about above with losing my glasses and spilling the ice. I was so happy to see Geo. I wanted to jump on him and hug him, but I know that would have hurt him too much. As it is, he's dealing with random pain today. He sometimes gets twinges of random pain all over his body and he doesn't know why. He sees the doctor next week and I think it's something that should be addressed. I don't know why he hasn't before, or if he has, I don't remember what the doctor said. I just know it's part of the nerves he gets because of his disability. I hope it's something that goes away when he loses the weight... if not, I don't know if he will ever get off of disability.
Sleep last night was okay... I went to sleep and felt like I woke up 10 minutes later. I felt refreshed for some part, but at the same time I feel like I didn't get enough sleep. That's why I came home and took the short nap before dinner. I wanted to take it earlier in the day so I could fall asleep tonight. I think waking up so early has set me for Miami time, though, instead of LA time. There's a 3 hour difference between the two, and so when I woke up in LA, I just thought of it as waking up at 6:30 instead. Still, I've had a long day and I can't wait for 10pm where I can wake Geo up and go to sleep. He's had a long day as well.
Food today was good.. I was under my calories a bit. I just wasn't hungry for most of the day. I had orange juice for breakfast, 2 tacos for lunch, and the Thai food for dinner. I didn't even eat anything solid for breakfast and I was fine on the plane. Maybe it's because I've been eating so much that my body just said no more? I'm not sure. Or maybe it was just the thought of flying again... but no, I still wasn't that hungry when I was in Miami. Maybe now that I'm home I'm going back into my mode where I don't eat a lot. I guess it will help me lose the weight I gained on vacation. I know I gained a bunch, and I'm scared to step on the scale tomorrow, but I'm going to do it as long as I remember to. I need a number to go by so I can start losing again. At least I kept up with my exercises while I was gone.. I thought I was going to have more trouble than I did. I learned about my running habits and hopefully I can take that experience here and run faster on the flat ground. It's just so boring compared to running hills. Oh well.... I will see what I can do. Stress today was okay.. the plane hit some turbulence, but nothing too bad. I just stressed a bit when the plane was going up and down, but I think that's a normal reaction.

Glad you got home safely.
It\'s great that you were able to sleep a bit on the plane. Smart that you took a nap before dinner. I hope you were rested and really enjoyed your evening out.
Happy Birthday.
