Home from vacation & termite infestation!

Finally made it back to Hawaii last night after about 14 hrs of flying including 3 lay overs! I thought, "Boy I'm so glad to be getting home!" and then came home to something terrifying last night.... opened the door, turned on the lights, and found thousands of termites swarming all through out the apartment! They were even crawling around between the sheets in my bed!!!!The night before we left onvacation(2 weeks ago) our next door neighbor came home to termites in his bathroom (which is right behind our bathroom) and that night we found little holes in the wall with termites eating their way through. The next morning the property manager came over and told all of us that he would get the property treated while we were gone. I am assuming that didn't happen! My next door neighbor said he's been trying to get the property manager to do something about the termites, but he hasn't done anything about them!!! They charge us a lot of rent here, they SHOULD do something about this!!! I can't believe my poor cats have had to deal with this while I was away!I was hoping to relax while I readjust to the time zone again (sleepis all screwed up, etc), but clearly that's NOT going to happen!!!VACATION:I spent about 9 days (after 1 day of travel) in Virginia with my in laws. The 1st few days were kind of rough, we didn't sleep on the plane (on the over night trip over) it was so uncomfortable, plus there were some problems with the tv screens on some of the seats resulting in me playing musical seats on the plane. Anyway it took some time to adjust to the new time zone with sleep, when to eat, and when my body figured out when to go to the bathroom. But once that was all smoothed out, I had a pretty good time with everyone! My allergies were killing me, though, I forgot how allergic I am to VA. Jeff's family owns like a whole mountain out near Blacksburg, VA.... so after spending some time in VA Beach, and then Richmond, we drove out to the mountain. It was quite a trip up the steep dirt road for a couple of miles going up the mountain but once up there it was beautiful! And very peaceful! I slept like a log! We also got some time to drive out to a vineyard and go wine tasting. I've never done that before. Honestly, though, after tasting about a dozen wines I was a bit nauseous. They live so far out from society, they have to collect rain water and dig wells for water! They have installed a lot of water conserving mechanisms. You have to take 5 min showers or the shower shuts off! LOL.When I got to Dayton, OH to visit my mom, my 2 brothers, my sister in law (who honestly has a screw loose or something) and finally got to meet my baby nephew.... it started out ok, but then a whole bunch of drama started! UGH. Same as last summer. Everyone always arguing and blaming everyone for everything! They got mad at me for some stuff, too, but I was only trying to help!I was glad to be going home to Hawaii (sadly my husband had to go back to VA, he has a sign language class to attend in DC) but then I came home to the termite situation!!! Ugh... I don't have anything in my fridge and have to go grocery shopping today. On top of having to clean up termites now! Have an annual shooting fair coming this weekend! Yaaayyyy! Lots of guns to pick and shoot! Will be meeting a couple of friends there!Anyway, will update you later! God bless!

so sorry you came home to such an unpleasant situation! i hope that they get rid of them quickly! it seems like they could call an exterminator.

there\'s no place like home after visiting family. i always think it\'s difficult to be a guest.
