Holy Cow, Batman!!!
Boy, it has been a while since i've written online. I thought it would be easier to keep up online. HA- what was i thinking. % ] Well i did keep up my book journal -sort of. There have been a few slow days where i could actually "work" at home. Did some some, artsy-craftsy things, re arrange furniture, clean up after storm(s), enjoy the dogs, talk to friends.... None of it was mundane. It was working on the different cars - finally got Mom's fixed (fingers crossed), plumbing in D's house and pics for selling puppies, electicity @ Gwen's house and her renthouse rented out, helping momm with garage sale at her house, contacting Chad regularly to see how Justin is faring in the hospital, going to meetings (my favorite part), making sure Jim gets his hunting spot picked out, putting ALL the tools back in one spot, etc...... And it's been so nice to be sober during all of it. I walk around with that 'dumb' smile - Smile, it makes everyone wonder what you've been up to. I'm glad to say the change has done me good, eventhough there were a few times, for a few moments, i was tempted to drink. Tempted once for at least 10 seconds. Then I thought i've worked so diligently and turned things over to the God of my understanding sooo many times, I would really be letting myself down and i just could not drink. I'm not afraid of my sobriety - I'm afraid of losing it. Well, fear is a strong word. It's not fear exactly. I only know that I am better now than i've been in a looong time and i like this me.
