Hold My Hand

I ran across this and wanted to share it with yall...   Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here. Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go. Hold on to my hand when when I have gone away from you. Pueblo Blessing It was the Christmas season 1983...  Cara was singing in the little Christmas play her class was doing at her school.  We drove down for the show.  We were; Cara's dad Woody, his sister Wilma, Cara and John and myself... We had a wonderful time... Of course Cara was the cutest kid there... Talked to the kid's teachers...  We headed home... it had started snowing... Wilma was nervous about the mountain roads and the snow.  I told her I'd hold her hand.  So I took "her" hand and held "her" hand all the way home... As we're pulling into the drive I asked Wilma if I should let go of "her" hand now and was she ok?  "Let go of my hand," she said...  "You aren't holding my hand..."   Cara is smiling... she liked mama holding her hand...  I liked holding her hand... I still do... even though she's not here with me in one way... honestly... she is here with me forever and always....    I just want you to know Cara that reading the Pueblo Blessing I felt like I happened across it because you sent me there... and that I feel your hand in mine and I love you for always.  Mama
