Ho Hum

You know if I could describe myself today it would be Eeyore fr Winnie The Pooh, yet I don't seem to really understand why.
Life in general goes on.  All is reasonably well I think.  I just saw my rheumy & he feels I'm reasonably stable but no reduction on meds yet, darn it all.  He just doesn't feel totally secure that I can handle things without them at this time, so that is that.
Been on antibiotics for a UT infection.  That kind of snuck up on me but at least I recognized it right away & saw my dr.  Like I don't balance enough meds in life geez whiz.
Hubby's doing pretty good.  We notice he's really at the mercy of mother nature COPD wise & lately mother nature's having some temper tantrums I tell ya.  But most of the time we juggle our days quite well.  It does get the better of both our moods at times but we try to consciously recognize this, accept it & move away fr it.
On this note though man alive I'm just feeling so down & out today.  Part of me feels like I just want to forget the rest of this day & say to heck with it.  I can't seem to get a grasp on what set it off though.  BUT I will move on fr this RIGHT!
Angel's going to need surgery on one toe on her left front paw.  Hubby was brushing her one evening & we noticed a bit of blood around one claw/pad & upon closer checking there was a wound & it seemed like part of the nail was gone.  So we got her to the vet the next a.m. & there seemed to be some kind of small hole under the nail & there was only part of the nail left & rather then facing the normal down direction it was kind of turned sideways.  He said it will have to come off but she's on antibiotics for another wk for infection.  The vet felt that she must of got it stuck in something & upon yanking to free herself screwed up her nail.  I tell ya that girl of ours.
I've had a radio station on in the room with me right now & they just played Sounds Of Silence by Simon & Garfunckel & I don't understand myself today, that song just made me feel so sad.  My mind is in a weird place somehow.
Anyway enough of my whining I think, right.  I so appreciate the time my friends can spend here with me on this.  You're pretty awesome folks you know that.

Awww, hugggggsssssss to you my friend. I can relate to this so much. I described myself as Eeyore this week also. Sometimes spring brings out the gloomy side of me. Maybe it could be that we both feel a little sad at all the activities we want to do but can\'t b/c of our lupus and other issues?
I have been struggling off and on also, so I send you my empathy and I send up my prayers!
I am trying to force myself to focus on the things I have to be grateful for, whether I feel like it or not, haha. It does help, thank goodness. : )
I hope Angel does well with her surgery. Pets can take a lot of our resources, can\'t they? But they are so worth it.
I always sort of chuckle ... anytime we clean anything, like mop the floors or hose off the gazebo, or wash a quilt, you can be sure that some pet will spew something on it within 24 hours.

Well, hope today is going better for you! xoxo

For you Kitty, and your kitty too.
Sometimes life gets tiring and that\'s OK, we know The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow.
Guess I\'m in song mode :) Sound of Silence is a sad song, anytime I hear it, even a note, my sister comes to my minds eye. She is deaf and I sometimes forget all that it implies. One time, when her son was small, she asked me if he had a nice voice. That still takes me aback, every time.
I hope Angel is all better now, silly cat. I believe their nails are more sensitive than ours, ouch! I\'d be howling for sure.
Please take good care of yourself. You are much loved

Hi Kitty, oh I\'m so late here...sorry my friend. I hope you\'re feeling better, weather gets me down, like today (13C and raining and it\'s May 31)!!!! Hope Angel is doing okay, good to ward off potential infection and hope your UT infection is cleared up. You must be enjoying the birds and sunshine. Are your mosquitos there yet? I understand that they\'re bigger than birds, no? (wink, wink)..... xxoo to you... have a good week! HUGS
