Hmmm. How IS my day going?
Weeelll, let's see...I rolled to my side to get out of bed, pushed myself up and then tried to stand up...notice, I said tried! Lol! Pain hit me and I sat a bit longer on the edge of the bed. A half hour later, I decided to try it again. Okay, we're rolling now! Up, up and awaaayyy! I am doing my granny walk down the hall to the bath room. Whew! I made it! Okay, so now the day has begun. I go straight to the coffee pot and get me a nice hot cup of coffee. Then I waddle to my recliner and flop down. (There is no more of the sitting down nicely, I just flop! Lol!) After 3-4 cups of coffee, my body is starting to wake up. So I waddle back down the hallway to my room to get dressed. After going thru my wardrobe of comfortable clothes (that are all ugly, by the way!) I find a pair of loose elastic waist paints and a big, 2 sizes too big shirt. Awww, comfort! Now, the softest pair of socks I can find to put on my poor achy feet. ARRGGG! Bending over and trying to get your feet into the socks really stinks! I finally get them on and the struggle continues with my shoes. Do I feel flexible enough to put on tennis shoes that tie? No! I will wear the slip on clogs. Ta-Da! I am dressed. It only took a couple of hours today from the time I got out of bed till I got dressed! Wow! Must be some type of record! Lol! So, anyway, that is how my day is going so far. Now, my pain pills have kicked in and I have to go feed/water/take care of my goats, chickens, turkey and miniature pony. I have to remember on my stiff and painful days that I keep these animals cuz they make me happy. Sometimes I forget that when the pony tries to bite me, I step in turkey droppings, or the wind and snow are blowing so badly that I can't hardly get the feed into the bins for them all. But, thank you God for all the happiness I get out of these little boogers! Lol! Then Spring comes and my grandbabies come out to play, with the sun shining in their faces and their squeals of joy as they chase the chickens around or give Butterball(my 4 yeart old turkey) a big hug, and their laughter reminds me why I struggle all winter long to keep all these animals. Hey, they do bring me happiness after all!! Thank you, God! Have a great day all!
