Hmm... Good news sort of...
Well my ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend broke up today. It's weird because I have wanted this for the last two months, and now that it has happened I don't feel good. Even though its not my fault, I feel guilty. I also don't like to see her sad, so even though this is what I wanted, it feels weird.
It is ironic because I had been warning her that this would happen in the exact way that it did since their first day of dating. He broke up with her "because he felt like it needed to happen", but ironicly it was at the same time that his ex-girlfriend (who I knew he was secretly obsessed the entire time) broke up with her boyfriend.
When his ex, who is my friend too, told me that she and her boyfriend broke up, I tried to warn my ex. I told her that I'm willing to bet that he would break up with her soon, especially because it is summer and everyone would be home from college. She said it wouldn't happen, but today, everything that I had been predicting came true.
I just wish she listened to me in the first place. While I feel like I should be saying "I told you so", I feel bad for her. I knew that he was lying to her the entire time and that he was secretly still in love with his ex, but she would'nt believe me. So now they are finally broken up, but I feel bad. I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I feel guilty. It's a weird feeling. I know its what I wanted though.
She wasn't answering my texts, but finally told me that she doesn't blame me, she is not mad at me, but she doesn't wanna talk right now. I guess thats good. I come home from college in a week. Maybe this is all a good thing, I hope so. It seems to be working out perfectly. I know everyone that reads these thinks I shouldnt even talk to her anymore, but I do still like or maybe love her a lot. We'll see. I'm at least glad that I will have the opportunity this summer to maybe fix things.
