hmm...ok....
So I was all geared up to give myself a HCG injection tonight but my fertility nurse rang me this afternoon and told me to hold off til tomorrow....I think that my blood work isn't showing the right levels of hormones at this stage.....I had a sneaky wee look this morning and it showed a follicle around 23mm...so things are still happening...I hope! I spoke to my sister in law (she pretty much does this type of follicle tracking for a living and she also went through fertility treatment herself) and she completely agrees with the fertility docs in waiting another day to trigger...
Anyway, the day was ok-just looooong and slow. Did yoga with the husband this arvo- much to the absolute bemusement of the cat. Seriously, it was like the pets interrupting yoga clip doing the rounds on you tube at the moment. (really worth a watch if you are up for a laugh!). So am feeling a bit more relaxed right now.
SO here's my top three things to be grateful for today:
1. I am grateful for my collegues who are always willing to have a sneaky peek at my ovaries to track progress and offer a kind word.
2. I am grateful once again for my sister in law and her family...once again a pillar of strength and support for my husband and I.
3. I am also really grateful for the opportunities I have already been given in this life to build a happy and successful life.
Oh, and one really strange coincidence that I had completely forgotten until now; when we were in having our scan (on a Sunday morning!) as we were walking out, I recognised a girl in the fertility specialists' waiting room...now bear in mind I live in a city with a population of about 100,000-once we were outside, my husband asked me if I thought that the guy next to the girl I recognised looked familiar...we finally figured out that we had travelled through central America with them 2 years ago-before we even moved to this city-and here they are now...going through a similar thing to my husband and I! If it wasn't so weird I would have marched back into the office and ask for her number so we could trade war stories! How weird and disconnected to see them here of all places!
anyway, thats me for a Monday night...over and out
