Higher Education
I am thinking of starting school again. I have taken 3 years off and it is time to finish what I started. By the time my youngest is ready for school I will need to get a “real job”. I really don’t think that I will be satisfied with a career that only pays me minimal salary or limits me in the possibilities of moving up in the corporate ladder. It is very clear that I need that ultimate piece of paper to move forward.
Throughout my adult years I have been sidetracked with life’s obstacles and made it a point to blame those events on my lack of pursuing my higher education. I have drive, I have skills, I have the intelligence to become more but, I hold myself back. I have pondered the real reasons why I have not been more motivated to grab a hold of the brass ring. No more distorting the truth or concealing what is fact, the genuine and authentic reason is one thing and one thing only; fear. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of change, fear of possibly being what I think I could be: great. Greatness comes with a cost and the cost is sometimes a lonely place. I am tired of being lonely but sometimes greatness gives us an awakening to happiness, in which we could only imagine if one does not set forth the actions in becoming the best they can be. So, I am willing to set aside the fears and gamble for a bit of happiness for the price that I will pay must be greater than the loneliness I have endured throughout my adult years. I will make myself proud and my children proud. I will succeed and provide more than financial gain or self-worth; I will demonstrate the qualities I see within my children: greatness, and determination, without fearing the will to try.
A note to my babies: fight, fight for what is yours and what you want because the only way it will be satisfying and substantial to whom you are is only determined by your own desires to work for it. Shine like the stars you are and be forever proud. That will bring you true happiness.

Well written! Furthering your education is never a bad idea. Shoot for the stars!!!!
Thank you :) I need to start doing and this is a good time to start than any
Three is a lot of personal growth and hard won wisdom in what you share. I am smiling for you :-)
I took my Adderall and was able to complete physical therapy and mop the kitchen floor. On the surface someone, not in tune to my illness, would wonder how such trivial pursuits could leave me with a sense of great accomplishment but when stuck in bed so often too ill to do anything for weeks on end without warning, yes, today was very good!!
I\'m excited for you and your renewed goals and the hard work you are investing in developing sense of purpose.
Oops!!! the brain and fingers do not seem to be connected at times LOL - that \'Three\' was to be \'There\'
Yes we all need to set goals and see them through
Thats good. Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars. Never give up
I think you are someone who can\'t settle for second best. Go for it, and pursue your dreams. It will be a great example to your children.
We only achieve things when we overcome our fear of failure.
What do you wish to study?
I\'m going back to get licensed for early childhood development and then licensed for education
Do you want to be a teacher?
I wish you the best of luck with all of it!
