High End Acoustic Guitar, bye bye
I was so excited to buy this Taylor guitar a couple of months ago. Its the nicest guitar I've ever had, sounds so great. But I haven't even touched it in the last 3 weeks or so. So today, I am boxing it up and sending it back. With all the extra expenses I've incured, having to buy my daughter a new bedroom set, my son a new bed, as well as finding a kitchen set and all the things that go in there, I really need the money for those things more than I need a guitar that I'm not going to play. At church I'm not even playing guitar like I thought I would when I bought it, I'm playing bass. And by the way, I am really enjoying getting back into the bass groove. so that is my current plan. And no I am not in the least bit sad about this. I still have a nice acoustic guitar to play, one with meaning to me, one that I designed and developed years ago, and that will serve my needs quite nicely. If I was to be sad about anything, it would be the pain I'm feeling in my left hand from working so hard on the bass. I've been taking glucosaine condritin, but that hasn't helped much. I just have to cut back on the big hand stretches that I like to do that sound so good, you know the big chords that cross 4 strings and 6 frets. This getting old crap, who would have thought that one consequence would be having to cut back on what I can do musically???
